Yes Costco is worth joining for the 1.50 hot dogs..alone
for 1.50 you get a polish dog or regular dog.. and a soda!

You can't beat that.. and their pizza is pretty good also!
thats why i love the costco out here cuz they smart and have their pizza place on the outside and you dont have to have a card to get food so everyone can get them the polish dogs and pizzas....

and yes the 1.50 combo has saved my life on some days....

I dunno, ever Costco I've been to even out of cali all I tell them is I'm going to grab some lunch and they never trip. Even when I didn't have my card I'd walk through the store and checkout the tv's and shit and never had a problem.

Haha...this thread reminds me of the time I was in one and tucked away in the corner of a dark aisle were huge (think those 64oz squeezable ketchup containers) bottles of K-Y Jelly.

That shit made me laugh.

haha. They got me, too. They ran up on me while waiting in line (I guess I didn't look like a normal Costco customer, w/e the hell that would be) and tried to rush me off. I had to damn near plead to just get my hot dog. I said fuck arguin' with them and said, "You know what? I was thinkin' about becoming a Business Member here for one of the largest retailers in Vallejo, but after all this bullshit, I'm through! Fuck you guys, I'm goin' 2 Sam's Club." So, they eased off and lemme get my hot dog which I'm sure had been spit in. But it was worth all the bullshit.

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but who used to get a hot dog/drink combo and or pizza and have to sneak it into the movies. Out here, the movies were right next door (now across the street in the plaza) and I can remember stuffing a good two or three hot dogs in w/e pockets they could fit in. I don't remember how we used to get the drinks in, tho. I think it had to go in someone's purse w/o the straw.

update: I still sneak food into the show 'cuz movie theater foods are waaayyy tooo expensive. Mostly candy, tho. Walked into Pineapple Express w/ an eighth of Grandaddy Purp and 5 packs of Reese's.

One trip to Costco saves me enough money, and some, to pay for the years membership.

One benefit is their electronics; computers bought there automatically get a 2 year manufacture warranty as opposed to the standard one. I think it may be the same for some other electronics, but I'm not positive.

But it's not for everyone
