If you're gonna put yourself out there like that, then be prepared for backlash. People share way too much info on the Internet.
When I interview someone at work, I always search them on FB. You can find out some crazy shit about people....I also always look at their email address...some people show up with addresses like "[email protected]" or daddymack420 or some shit. IMO if you aren't smart enough to make up a more professional sounding email address for potential jobs, then you ain't smart enough to work for me

There is a huge difference between what you put out there on facebook and things that can only possibly be accessed with a password, like PM's. A lot of people, myself included, don't allow any information to be shown publicly. Looking up someones name on FB or using the applicants email via google is one thing, but asking for passwords is entirely different.

After an interview i most definitely search for them on Facebook , i don't ask for password but i always see something along the lines of "I hope i get this job , dude that interview me looked like an ass" ... Its a good way to see what kind of person you are hiring.

I have 420 in my main email address because you know, I don't give a fuck, and once someone asked why... in that type of way... and I got all sad looking and said "that's the day my best friend, my grandfather, was born, god rest his soul" and they were just like "oh, I'm sorry for asking" and I was just like "It's okay " and then the interview went on and I still have the job until this day and my work schedule gets sent to it every week. Yeah I'm the second assistant to the GM now. But that was when I first got the job around six years ago and the hiring manager asked what it meant. Wasn't going to be like "I smoke a lot of weed, man."
