College World Series

Anyone following this at all? Iim not usually a fan of college baseball but Fresno State pulled off a "miracle" and got in. I know there are some cats from in and around the Fresno area that come on here so I wanted to put everyone up on what's happening.

They finished the regular at 34-26 which is nothing special.

WAC Tournament: They swept through the tournament going 4-0.

NCAA Regionals: They beat Long Beach State to start off and took 2 out of 3 from San Diego (4-1) to make it to the Super Regional.

Super Regional: They beat 3rd ranked Arizona State 2 out of 3 games to make it to the college world series.

Now they are 1 of 8 teams left. Their first game they played Rice and beat them 17-5! Tomorrow (6/17) they play North Carolina at 4pm on ESPN or ESPN 2.

I know most of you don't give a fuck about college baseball but Like I said, Fresno State is making some noise right now.

#9 San Diego
#19 Long Beach State

And Fresno State is UNRANKED.

I was lucky enough to watch Tom Mendonca play 81 Varsity High School Games as he was the 3 year starter at SS for Turlock High. Great kid who took my brother under his wings. Tom showed my brother alote and passed him the keys as the next Turlock High SS.......Not too many Blue Chip HS Prospects do that for a Frosh playing with the Varsity Kids

Yeah after their first 20 games they were 8-12. They were actually ranked before the season started and before they went on that bad run.
