Its a business. Small FCS schools get paid over 100 thousand dollars to come to big programs like Alabama and Florida and get humiliated and the national sports media plays it off like they really did something. I'm sure the purpose of those games are to boost the stats of their star players so they'll have a better chance at the heisman trophy.
