this is more in terms of more hard rock/metal/thrash or whatever the fuck you kids call it these days, but i cant listen to any form of hard music with clean vocals anymore, sounds so corny to me. totally takes away from the overall energy of the album to me. i need the vocals to match the intensity of the music and screaming accomplishes that very well.

not saying i am against clean vocals, bands like minus the bear, dead hunter, armor for sleep, bayside, etc are catered to that sound giving their softer and/or punk type sound.

dont know where i am going with this but was listening to the new shadows fall today and brian fair is screaming less and less on tracks and their album sounds like some corny ass metallica knockoff because of it.

I hate screaming...its terrbile and makes no sense.

Yelling is OK, but screaming is a NO NO!!!!
I told you in the other thread by the end of 2007, 2008 at the latest, we will convert you.

I though you liked a little screaming here and there? Like more as backing, etc.

haha seriously. It was over once I bought the first Silverstein record.

Hopefully Protest the Hero's new album will have a couple more yells, that's the one problem I have with Kezia.
