^^^^It doesn't have a history like the other words but to some people it can feel just as harmful.

@Jae Ill, Yeah I see what you're saying. At first I took it as cracker not ever being degrading or however you want to describe it.
[after a long hiatus being absent from the Gathering, foetwin the historian enters the thread and interjects his thoughts concerning the trivial matter of whether or not the word cracker has any validity in being labled as an ephitet]

In actuality, "cracker" is a term that was coined by the indigenous peoples of this land before it was established as a country. For example, the Cherokee and Creeks used the term to portray the negative image of the sounds that whipped down upon the hinder portions of the cattle which propelled droves of bandwagons navigated by Europeans who encroached upon their sacred homelands. For this reason they were called "crackers." Now, these so called pioneers were not welcomed into the "Indian Territories" becasue they stole crops, land, raped, and killed at will. Wow, it seems as if these "civilized" Europeans were retrograding back into thier days as Cromagnon Neandertals hiding from the sun somewhere in the Caucus Mountains. Furthermore the hate for "crackers" grew even more immense once they started to introduce vices such as rum which inherently led to the loss of identity that made such a great race of people lose their ancient heritage.

i dont mean to sound like the token dude from all ganster movies but.... How do you expect other races not to use the word nigger against you, when you guys use it towards eachother.
Some of us have embraced the term and claimed it as our own to take away the negative stigmatism that was attatched to the word when we were internationally exploited as mere chattel. When you hear the word being exchanged between peoples of color, the feelings of degredation are not present today as was in the past. Look around, the word isnt pronounced the same, spelled the same, and like i stated earlier doesnt affect blacks the same way it did our ancestors, but this is only generally speaking, becasue some black people still dont like it when other black people use the word either. But it's a tredny thing. like everyboday has been saying; they're not racist, it just means ignorance or whatever. There's evidence of this, the n-word has been commercialized in sodays society as the "in" word. Ya feel me, my "nizzle"?

I'm white and I hate it when people generalize my race with terms like "Rich" and "Powerful"... that only perpetuates our racial superiority.
Fridge, that's a cold script^ becasue in actually, the European is racially inferior when it comes to genetics, but what I believe you were trying to say is that stereotypes feed into racial superior complexes :knockout:
