what people dont realize is that charlie murphy IS a beginner. he literally had never done standup comedy until after the chapelle show was over. he has a famous name from the rick james sketch, but that doesnt mean he's a seasoned comedian. almost every funny comedian you see on tv has been doing comedy for atleast like 15 years before they get any kind of national fame, so i mean, yeah his stand up sucks, but thats cause he's still new to it. chapelle show ended what? in 2005? 5 years isnt gonna develop you into like a chapelle level comedian. he'll probably get better, im sure eddie murphy probably went through the same thing at one point
