But two years earlier, there had been no hunt for Michelle Knight.

She was 18 when she disappeared.

It is reported that the police and social services tried to convince her family she had run off in August 2002 after having her son taken into care.

She was not listed on the Ohio Missing Persons website.

Only her family carried on the search with mum Barbara refusing to believe she would leave without even a phone call.

She papered Cleveland’s West Side with leaflets bearing her daughter’s picture and even after moving to Florida, would return to search on her own before being reunited today with Michelle.
That's not right that they said she must have left just because she was 18! They still should have looked for her and she schould still be listed as a missing person! I wonder how many more cases there are like this across the US or how many presumed kidnapped are actually being held like this everyday! Charles Ramsey is a real dude tho! Hope he gets a blessing of some sort in life!

if your in a city with a lot of missing people, and the missing person is damn near legal, they're gonna be on the back burner. they put more effort into kids, for good reason. but if your 17 and up damn near, unless some one see's you getting pulled into a van, your on the back burner. their info gets put into the system as a missing person, like the younger missing persons, its just more of a "keep a look out" type of deal, rather than combing the streets.

my dad went missing back in '04 or so, from Stockton. they found him in San Jo cus he was in the system. my nephew went missing last year from Stockton and they found him in Elk Grove. my nephew was 17. they found him cus he was in the system. my nephew was found cus he took my moms car and parked her car fucked up enough to make Elk Grove PD run the plates. my dad was found in a park by a cop. im 99% sure my dad was actin up and San Jose PD ran him. unfortunatly, their are people 17 and up who are found dead, or never found.

McDonalds just gave dude free food for a year and they're making statues and busts of him. SMH.

CLEVELAND - Cleveland's own hero Charles Ramsey is being honored with a statue in his likeness in Kentucky and we're now seeing what his bust will look like.
The photo is sent from us by Matt Jones, who is covering the story in Stanville, Kentucky, where Ramsey is making an appearance at the law firm of Eric C. Conn Friday.
“I can’t think of a better way to commend my friend Charles than having a statue made in his honor,” Conn, who is known for his love of statues, said in a news release.
After its unveiling in Kentucky, the statue is set to be donated to a Cleveland museum.
Friday's event is scheduled to take place between noon and 2 p.m.
Ramsey has become a global sensation for his role in the rescue of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, the three women found alive after nearly a decade in a Cleveland home.

my dads skitz. my nephew was tired of bullshit. they were'nt kidnapped. i was pointing out to ol' dude that the difference in age makes a big difference on how seriously the police act on it.
