about Mike Williams an the combine.........he ran slow times in the 40. so folks are puttin Edwards ahead of him, but all you have to do is think back to Williams last game in the rose bowl. Edwards dropped a bomb on the openin series that coulda changed the game, an Williams caught everythang thrown his way
Good thing GMs don't judge a player on a single dropped pass.
Come on man...Edwards has been ranked higher than Mike Williams since last year. If they both were in the draft last year, Braylon would still have gone higher. Braylon improved his stock by coming back to michigan and putting up 97 catches 1300 yds and 15 TD(12 games).
He's not projected to go higher because Mike ran a sub-par 40. He's projected to go higher because he's a better WR. The only knock on his game last year was too many dropped passes due to lack of concentration.....and he took care of that this year.
I'm not going to argue that Mike Williams is an outstanding player....I just think with all things considered.....Braylon Edwards looks like a lot better reciever to most NFL teams.
Also If Mike Williams can't get his weight undercontrol he'll be looking at an H-Back or TE role. He's not going to be able to get downfield against a lot of CB in the NFL with his size. I dont know what his playing weight was at SC but I'm sure it wasn't 230. If dude isn't careful he's going to turn into David Boston (minus the roids).
