chargers-niners trade?

i got this from another board, i wanted to know if any of you niner fans have been hearing about this in the bay...i aint heard shit out here in dago.....

I have been hearing it all over the radio stations in the BAY area.

The Niners and Chargers are in Serious negotiations and one of two option will possibly be taking place, this is what they are suppose to be sorting out now.

Option # 1) The Niners send their 1st pick overall and Julian Peterson to the Chargers for the Chargers two 1st round picks ( # 12 and # 28 ) and Drew Brees.

Option #2) The Niners send their 1st pick overall to the Chargers for their # 12th pick and Philip Rivers.

They are also stating that the reason the Chargers are wanting to do the trade so badly is because they want BRAYLON EDWARDS from Michigan.

The NFL's first 2005 Draft trade is upon us!!

This has been going around. As a 9er fan I rather have Option one, but I rather not do the trade at all and just pick Braylon Edwards areselfs...

That aint true but the Niners are in negotiations with David Boston and he could be signed any min.

either on of those moves would suck, Brees established himself in SD I don't see them trading him, Rivers has only taken a handful of snaps and we'd be better off with Rattay or Dorsey. Peterson could be a truly special player especially now that Singltery is his coach, giving up on him would be a shame.

SD trading up to #1 just because they want Braylon Edwards? I'm a huge Michigan fan....Braylon is my favorite player to come out of there since Woodson....but he's not worth a #1 pick. The highest team that has WR as a #1 need right now is Minnesota @ #7.

Nobody else in the Top #7 should think about taking a WR. Eventhough I would love to see my Bears put Mushin Muhammad and Edwards on the field at the same time. But the top 5 picks are going to be QB/RB

This draft is way too deep in WR for a team to give up 2 picks and a potential franchise QB just to take the top WR. There are plenty of WRs to fill SD's need....Marty doesn't need the best WR in the draft to give the ball to LT 30 times a game.


As for SF's QB decision......I think they go w/ the better arm (rodgers) over the better 'brain' (smith)

why does frisco want a q.b.? i think rattay is decent. plus i dont care how good a q.b. you are, if you dont got good people around you, you aint gonna do shit. I dont think that there is one "franchise" hall of fame type q.b. in this draft, i would pick up someone else

yeah, brees signed a 1yr deal last week. he could still be traded if the right offer was made.
Basically the plan is this, let brees go back out there this season, if he does as good as last year then the bolts have a problem...either trade brees or rivers(probably rivers) they wont keep both of them again. if brees does bad or even has a medicore type season, he is gone, no ?'s asked.
