That sucks. I'm suprised no one offered to buy it off of you. Here where I stay you coulda probably still got about 6 to 800 dollars for it with that issue. Those sell like a muthafukka out here.

Blown headgaskets, bad rods, and trannys goin out all will make you consider gettin a new car...smh....sad times

Its ok breh a few months ago my whip blew a head gasket (for the 2nd time) so i took it to the shop, they said itd be like 2500 to fix, i was like fuck that... Then my triple a ran out so i couldnt tow it home, and im not gonna renew my aaa when i dont have a running car... so i left it there and the city took it hahaha i fucking piece of shit hooptie royal piece of shit.

I coulda got it fixed for way cheaper but fuck it i was just done with that car. Even if i fixed the hg it still had a oil AND coolant leak that was leaking into the oil somehow and that wasnt fixable... I think thats y the head gasket blew in the first place

Sounds like engine block had a hole/crack in it somewhere. Either in the top half of the block or bottom. In that case I could see you needing a new top end.....bottom end....or whole new block/engine.

That might be why he said it wasnt fixable.

yeah i was told about the same price but the mechanic himself told me dont bother and to put some chemical head gasket sealant in it. that shit bought me another couple of months until i could get a loan together for my new car. it was leaking oil from elsewhere as well.
