The thing that killed it was a bunch of youtubers throughout social media making it a feminist issue. I don't feed into that kind of rally in any way, shape or form.
Sticking strictly to the film...
*NO SPOILERS*
I lost interest in the second half of the film due to it being emotionless with the characters they failed to execute in a steady pace to be able to introduce them in a proper fashion and build. Had they made a Captain Marvel origin film prior to this one instead of using flashbacks to try to make one catch up to the whole character and her story, it would of played out way smoother. Too much crammed into one film for my taste. It didn't give time to really get into it like we have in the prior Marvel films. From the moment the film opens, I felt like I missed something before that and they tried to build from there and never really reached it.
Overall, it wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible.
