It all depends on how they react to eachothers power punches really. If Lara doesn't stay inside too long he will win easily cuz Canelo will get worn out by Lara's movement

Lara's Revenge: I Have Nothing To Do With Golden Boy

By Elisinio Castillo

WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs) is looking for some payback on July 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Lara faces Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs) in the main event of a Showtime Pay-Per-View card.

Lara, who is advised by Al Haymon, is apparently included in the group of boxers who are fighting under the Golden Boy Promotions banner but don't actually have a binding promotional contract with their company.

"Canelo is Golden Boy's boxer, that's why I'm going after him. I used to be a part of Golden Boy but now I have nothing to do with them. They gave him the best fights and me being a better boxer than him, they ignored me. They threw me to the wolves so they could take my head off. Thankfully I came out on top, always proving myself and proving myself until now and we are here facing Canelo," Lara stated.

Following Canelo's victory over Alfredo Angulo in March, Lara confronted him at the post fight press conference. The Cuban boxer saw that as the only way to secure the match.

"There was no other way for me to get this fight other than approaching him during the press conference. In front of all the cameras, Showtime was there, the whole world was there. And it was my idea to confont him with the cameras, to show that it's not me - that he doesn't want to fight," Lara said.

Really interesting fight. I still think Canelo will fade in this fight but the caveat is that Lara got dropped twice and Anuglo caught up to him a lot. For a dude that is supposed to be a masterful boxer, it doesn't bode well that Angulo got to him as much as he did and Angulo had trouble catching Canelo for a good portion of the fight. I'm not even sure who I think will win this fight though. This is like Canelo's version of Oscar fighting Ike Quartey though, even though DLH was way more accomplished by then.

Well, Canelo had an easier time with Angulo because Canelo has more power than Lara and he literally hurt Angulo with the first punch he threw. It doesn't tell us much comparing the two fights. Like how Lara easily beat Austin Trout yet Canelo struggled to barely win doesn't tell us much either. Different style match ups.

I have a feeling Canelo is going to win, but I'm on a horrible streak of bad predictions lately

Well let's hope that continues.

The only reason I don't like Canelo cuz he's a fucking sell-out. But realistically speaking Canelo is gonna take a whooping when he cuts the ring but will destroy Lara by the sixth.

None this year fortunately.

Martinez vs Cotto
Ruslan vs algieri
I know there were a couple others too
we all miss predictions obviously but that Martinez Cotto one was obviously the worst that I remember. Almost everyone probably got Algieri wrong but I predicted that Ruslan was going to struggle with him more than people expected but I thought he might eek out a decision

I'm not a fan of Canelo or Lara, meaning I'm neutral about who wins or loses. But if this fight is anything like the emotional swing of Crawford-Gamboa I think I might be a fan of both afterwards.
