What you have is an experienced opinion - not a fact.
Because I have had both OS's and I think Mac outclasses it in ease of use and functionality.
Does my opinion carry enough weight for you to call it fact? Nah - didn't think so.
What I have experienced is indeed fact to me, as i've tried both. Is it fact to you? no, the opposite is fact to you. Not all facts are universal facts and not all universal facts are considered facts by everybody.... fact.

Back to the thread. If he's stuck at the login screen, then he's not getting out of it simply by putting in the start-up/"re-format" disk. Dude can't login in.
You've never installed mac os have you? of course not, "it just works" why would you
aranoid: It will work. You put in the disk, boot from cd (you use a mac so like most mac users arent so sure how things work, you hold C to boot from CD on startup) and once it boots from the CD, theres an option right in the menu to reset the "admin password" or whatever the fuck they describe it as.
