damn AoM that was alot of fun.
Japan total war is classic, never got to but always wanted to play the other Total war games. Had all the AoE games but never got to play the last one nd I was outta PC by then straight business witht he MAC.
Shogun Total war was the first, I think that is what you are talking about?
Anyway, both of you will like it if you like the Aoe Series, it has a campaign turn based map and then a battle map. You control units that you build and they stay in formation, so in Rome say you make Cavalry and Infantry you can place them where you want before battle, then once it starts you move them however you want, like if you want to charge the opponents infantry or bait some units away ect its very tactical. Or just go head on and bum rush them all, you can do that too lol.
Point of the battle is to kill or rout the enemy, once you kill the last general they are more likely to rout. And even when they do rout you can still kill them.
Its got spearman, light infantry, heavy infanty, ranged infantry, special infantry, light cavalry, heavy cavalry, ranged cavalry, general cavalry + Artilery and siege weapons.
