seriously, i was like... you serious?

you think getting locked up in a cell is grood treatment?

i dont really want to explain a lot, because after reading your post.. you are obviously an idiot

youll understand in a few years
Well, I have no sympathy for criminals. Sounds like all you guys do. The only reason I can think of the sympathy you guys have is, you guys probably have family members currently in prison. I happen to have a family member in prison as well. I'm sad for him, yes I am, but the fact is he was involved in the murder of an innocent man. The family deserves justice. It's simple, you commit a crime, you should be punished. Not committing crimes will keep you away from law enforcement and prison.

If not a "cell," where the fuck do you want to keep these criminals at? Do you want them in the streets where they might possibly commit another crime? What if YOUR the victim, a family member, a friend, what would you think then? What you want the offender to be slapped on the wrist and let free or put in a stupid little rehab program or on 6months probabtion only? Do you want him to be enjoying himself within prison, playing games, laughing with other inmates, using drugs, etc... all while your best friend that was murdered is GONE? cmon now. FUCK criminals, plain and simple. And if your commiting crimes, check yourself before you get caught up or ruin someone else's life, another family or your own family. It's not only yourself that gets punished, the victim and your family as well.

I WOULD NEVER TRY JUSTIFYING CRIMINALS. I COMMITED THE CRIME SO I GOTTA DO THE TIME. WHETHER IT'S IN A CELL OR IN A LITTLE WHITE ROOM WITH PADDING. IF YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND THAT THE WAY A REAL GANGSTER DOES THEN YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY TO BEING A RATA, FLIPPING OR RANKING. IT IS WHAT IT IS, PERIOD. PRISON AINT NO PLACE WHERE YOU JUST SIT IN A CELL EITHER, HAHA IF ANYONE THINKS THAT'S JUST WHAT IT IS. THINK UR IN DANGER ON THE STREETS? IT AINT NO BETTER BEHIND BARS.

Yes I know it's an industry. But these motherfuckers don't even deserve jobs in the first place. "Cheap labor," well good, they don't deserve to get paid high. I sure as hell don't want an inmate making the same amount of money as I am or the same as a law abiding citizen. No way in hell do they deserve minimum wage. WTF are they going to buy in prison anyways, more cigs, candy and other BS?

No matter how you try to spin things, these criminals don't "deserve" anything. The only thing they should be thinking about is the crime they committed and how they have to do time to repent for that crime.

Yes I'm just talking about the "voilent criminals," only. I mentioned "voilent" criminals in one of my first posts. Obviously if your in for grand theft auto or other crime without the need to resort to violence, then yea, you deserve some freedom within the prison facility. But all the murders, rapists, anyone who uses violence, "should" be locked up longer within their cell to ensure the safety of the guards and other inmates.

you know who the largest investor is in Texas prisons? Barbara Bush !!! thinks that make you go hmm. I know people who never broke a law in there life, who can see the truth/light, why is it so hard for these dense fucks? and if you mad at your tax money going to prisons, be mad at the people making millions off it, not the people suffering in the shitty jail conditions.

being locked from the world is punishing enough,

i dont mind if they find religion, get high, play games and laugh

a human being is still a human being,

if YOU commited a crime, wether guilty or innocent,

you should still get food, rehabilitation programs etc..

i wish the government spent better money fixing up the ghettos,

it is so difficult growing up and not fuckin up

i wish i could dumb it down for you,

but you just havent learned yet

i dislike online forums, everytime someone speaks something political, they say the must absurd shit

you should go to the "gathering of minds"

You guys don't understand the point. Prison shouldn't be a walk in the park.

As far as 3 Strikes law, I agree that shit is dumb. Locking up offenders and giving them life for 3 non-voilent crimes is pretty dumb and unfair. Also OF COURSE, prisoners should be allowed to eat. I never said they shouldn't. I just don't like the fact that a lot of voilent criminals aren't punished enough. Their the ones calling shots on guards, calling shots out in the streets. Enough is enough, their obviously not punished enough. They shouldn't be allowed to hang out with eachother. Everyone should be a solo individual in prison, that way they continuously remember what their in for.

Also, maybe if more money was spent on building up "ghetto" communities rather than the rehabilitation programs in prisons and other amenities to prisoners, maybe states WOULD have the funds to help out the communities. But it seems like most of you, want prisoners to live in great living conditions, have education and other non-sense that just doesn't work. I say fuck them, use those resources to help out communities. Prison should be a deterrent for crime, but it isn't. Too many people look foward to going to prison for the sake of status, I say fuck that. I would rather have prisoners endure psychological stress, than physical stress. Right now they mostly deal with physical stresses, which usually the strong can cope with easily. That's why there's prison gangs. How about having to deal with the mindfuck of being locked up in your cell 23 hours a day, I gaurantee, that'll work best as a deterrent.

Guard remains in hospital after stabbing attack in Calif. prison

One of four state prison guards stabbed by inmates remained hospitalized Friday with a skull fracture and other wounds after the attack at Tehachapi state prison.

Authorities ordered a statewide lockdown of inmates after Thursday's assault at the California Correctional Institution, about 40 miles south of Bakersfield. It was lifted Friday afternoon..

The sergeant who suffered the skull and stab injuries was in good condition after being released from a hospital's intensive care unit, said Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokeswoman Terry Thornton. She said it was not clear how the sergeant fractured his skull.

The other guards and both inmates were treated for their injuries Thursday and released. One guard injured her knee responding to the stabbings.

The attackers rushed the guards in an office on the maximum security general population yard shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday, Thornton said. Guards stopped the attack with pepper spray, batons and physical force.

The two inmates were taken to isolation cells at Corcoran State Prison while officials investigate, Thornton said.

Perry Robert Avila, 47, is serving a 117-year sentence for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon in Riverside County, and a 15-year sentence for second-degree murder. Avila is a member of the Mexican Mafia with a record of assaults on law enforcement officers dating to 1988, Thornton said.

The other suspect, Ivan Antonio Manriquez, 36, is serving a 25-year sentence from Orange County for first-degree murder.

Two weapons were found at the scene, but the department would not release details about them.

The California Correctional Institution was built in 1933 to hold women. It has since been expanded to hold about 2,800 male inmates, but currently houses 4,703, Thornton said.

Thursday's stabbing attack was the latest problem in recent years for the Kern County prison.

It was the scene of a race riot in February 2005 that involved 480 black and Hispanic inmates, an incident that left three inmates injured. Two months later, two Tehachapi guards were injured by a prisoner using a homemade weapon, but both recovered.

In 2002, a guard was stabbed several times in the chest by two inmates but recovered from his injuries.

WHAT YOUR NOT GETTING, IS THESE PLACES MAKE OFFENDERS WORSE...THEY SHOULD HAVE TRAINING OR ELSE WHEN THESE INMATES HAVE SERVED THEIR TIME... THEY HIT THE STREETS EVEN MORE KNOWLEDGABLE OF HOW TO TRY TO BEAT THE SYSTEM...THEN WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT OF INCARCERATION? AND THATS WHAT IT IS...A REVOLVING DOOR.

texas has the highest percentage of incarceration in the world, yet its crime rates are well above the national average.

yeah, they're a model for success.
your right about texas, i probably didnt word my reply exactly how i meant. Look at how lenient texas is with the death penalty. theyre the highest in the country.

and about paying taxes, fuck that. Teachers are losing jobs cause of this state budget, i rather have my kid have more options for teachers and school than some pedophile or murderer get free health care. but i aint gonna be up on the internet arguing bout this shit.
