Re: History of Dividenz....according to danadane

There was a freestyle circle that had formed and Notes and COLA were in rare form, metaphors, punchlines, flows for DAYZ.
Uh, I think you meant to say they were in regular form...we ain't never lacking in the freestyle deptartment!! know about that!!
But yeah, that's pretty much the jist of it...Me and Cola vibed from the minute we met, ran with it, and haven't looked back. And just to clear up any rumors before they start, Emerald City Recordz has helped us tremedously. If you don't see their logo on our cd it's because they had other things going on and couldn't get the logo to D-Sane in time. It's no love lost and they still family...and as for Oxagin, Dana's right. they do have an open invite to the studio.

Things are goin good so far......
We been hustlin......... We've gotten alot of positive feedback....Every once in a while you run into some buster ass niggas tho.....

It's funny all the liars and haters you run into out in the streets tryin to push your product.....I've talked to folks that look at the album and say "Aw man im fuckin with these cats"Or "I was Just In the Studio with them" Not realizing its me on the cover :cheeky: we've got units in most of the mom&pop stores around the town....

I figure we still got a ton of work ahead of us but if we keep grindin out here we'll get get to where we need to be....The best thing about having these 3 albums out at the same time is the word spreads so much faster.......

For the most part we get love in the town....each time i go out... I bump into more & more people that say "I already got this or I heard about it" so thats a good sign.....

There is a downside tho.....some folks just cant stand the fact that we out here doin it......when you out here slangin cd's you put yourself in a compromising situation......Hater niggas see this as an opportunity to do what they do best .....HATE.....you feel???

@them dividenz

over every song, i thought yall came realtight lyrically. im sure ther is good amount of tracks you both put heavy thought into, but is ther a cut that stands out, ither of you feel is tighter for any reason...maybe because a beat just made it that much tiighter, or a song which is on a more personal level. even somthin that came quick but is a favorite to fans and yall are really feelin yourselfs..just curious

its hard pick a favorite on an album full of dope cuts, but its labled a classicc in my opinion. lyrics, beat, hook all so dope.. couldnt have been tighter. cut was complete and sealed in perfection

which five albums do you both consider classicc
That's a good question. I think that the best put together albums that I've heard are 2Pac (All Eyez on Me), Jay-Z (The Blueprint), Eminem (The Eminem Show), E-40 (In a Major Way), and NWA...I don't know if they would all be considered classics but they're all ahead of they're time and are albums that I can listen to all the way thru...holla

When you both started out... what was your hardest part of releasing your album.. was it beats, features, recording time? And in the beginning did you face harder challanges beacuse cola is white.. Maby less people as quick to support your work until he prooved him self over and over agian, Also if this happened did you find yourselves building a bridge to where those types of people had a more positive mind as to the type of real peoples you are?
