BUYING A VIDEO GAME THRU THE PS3 NETWORK

I downloaded infamous as my first free game.. Took a couple hours I believe.. What's the best out of the other free games?

And I wish the Show 11 was up for download.. I'd definitely download that.

sony aint tryin to give away good or even relevant games....but for the 2nd choice since there is one...probably little big planet

I don't really see any pro to downloading the game instead of buying it? You save gas by not goin to the store? Other then that if your playstation takes a shit say good bye to that game. You can't re-sell it when you get sick of it..Plus sony defenitly has problems keeping credit info under wraps so if you were goin to i would def buy a pre paid card!

On another note all the "free" games they offered besides Infamous are garbage. I probably will delete them off my console.. And i wouldn't recommend lbp unless you got kids.

Wipeout is alright, but it is hard as fuck.
inFamous is alright, but the sequel is out and there are way better sandbox games
LittleBigPlanet is pretty good if you have 2 or more players
Super Stardust... I have it, but have never played it
Same with Dead Nation

I had 3 PSN accounts so I got all of the free games. inFamous took me 2 hours or so to download. Took about an hour to install, though.

Wipeout (hd and fury) I already had and its a good game in my opinion. You can't tweek hella shit or customize anything, but its cool.

Dead nation is cool and I already owned it (I did a review on this board for it so if you want in depth info find the review in this forum)

Super star dust hd. ADDICTIVE.

LBP. Cool game, but I stopped downloading it because the time said it would take 7 hours. I have a FAST connection so I don't know why PSN, of all places, takes forever to download.

Infamous, had a hard copy but traded it in.

All in all I'm good. I'm really just waiting for Deus Ex: HR right now, so these and being busy with business will keep me occupied.

I'm actually talking bout if you are going to buy a game on PSN. You know the topic of this thread? The downside is you have no game to re-sell..I wasn't talking bout the free games!

I was talking Show 11 to buy.. Not get for free, I know that game wouldn't be free.. But putting inFamous up there is pretty genius on there part.. You know they'll increase sales for the second from those that got the first for free.. I'm about half way through.. Haven't played it in a while.. Its pretty sweet. Not the best sandbox game ever, but its solid. I'm happy with it for the $0 i paid.

yea, happened to me too. this worked for me though:

If at any point you can’t find the ‘Welcome Back Free Game 1 or 2’ products, the list of available titles or a game you’ve selected, go to your XMB>PlayStation Network>Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions to complete the process.

My playstation is fucked. I got one of those 40 gigs from when around it first came out. I deleted almost everything on my system other then a few game saves I wanted to hold onto and it says I don't have enough room to install that infamous that they gave everyone. hella weak.
