I believe its a given that "we" the people dont have the same intel/info that "we" the US government does, to believe we the people know as much as an advisor or major in government is naive.

Obviously, I was being sarcastic tadou. It's just funny that you completely blow off the fact that all of the people who sold the American people the war on Iraq had, 6 months previous, said themselves that Saddam had basically little or no WMD capabilities.

The fact that this was before we knew about the oil-for-food scam, though, I'm not sure about the relevance of that. Maybe you didn't mean "that's why we went to war with them" or "that's why the invasionwas justified"? What did you mean, in any case? Because anything else, in my opinion, wouldn't have really pertained to the discussion...thus I made the assumption that you were entering a rationale for the war.

No, that is not 6 months previous, friend. Those quotes were from Mid 2001 and the lead-up to war did not start until Mid/Late 2002. AGAIN...STOP THE LYING.

It is RELEVANT because with Saddam syphoning off billions of dollars from the corrupt governments of Russia, France and Germany....we OBVIOUSLY are going to get INCORRECT intelligence from those countries. So the ONLY true sources we had were our own, and due to the crippling "Shady Figures" legislation, even that was WEAK.
