I don’t know about in yall areas, but round here in the district (DC), there is not a shortage of homeless folk. When I first started to work down here I would occasionally give one of these raggity fools a buck every now and then. But I’ve learned that it is a chain reaction when you hand shit out. Not too long ago I gave this dude with newspaper on his feet 50 cents, (cause he was 50 cents short on his rent that week) and then as I started walking I had a trail of homeless following me to the eatery. with the eatery being crowded and all, I was able to shake these hobos without much problem.
And there was this other time when I had just got done eating some hot wings and this frail old lady accompanied by a shopping cart asks me if I was finished (with my lunch). I say yeah, and so she sits at the seat across from me, and then begins to devour what was left of the chicken wings. It was kind of foul to watch so I kindly left her alone with her meal.

Now if the bums wanna eat my scraps, thats fine with me. But from now on they better have a good sob story(unlike the man who was 50 cents short on his rent) to get some currency out of me.

It's rare that I give any homeless person anything. I'll do it from time to time though. I've even opened my door at home a few times and fed them.

This one time my lady and I were eating at a restaurant and some homeless dude walked in like he was gonna order something. He started small talk with me and told me he liked shrimp, but was broke yada yada yada...

I told him, "Go ahead and order it. I got you."

To which he answered, "No, but I don't like the shrimp here. I like the ones down the street. They serve good portions over there."

I saw where he was going with it so I said, "Get out of my face & take your ass down the street then."

though one time i was walking into a liquor store. lady bum comes up to me and asks if i might have any chance on the way out, would i kindly give it to her?
thought i was flipping the script, and told her that i was short on change to buy a blunt, would she kindly mind giving me some?
and the broad digs into her pocket and tries to hand me like a dollar in change. and a slice of humble pie with it.

shit not to be racist but i've noticed black bums are the worst. they go and ask you for change see you reach in your pocket and are not satisfied with what you give them. this fuck'n bum got like a dollar in change from me and said "you can't give me a five?" you broke ass motherfucker beggars can't be choosers. he pulled that shit with a couple more people and got kicked out the store entrance when i got out.

me and my bro we're just talkin about this. like this young guy asks for some change in front of the liquor store. my bro gives him some and the fag didn't even say thank you or nothing.

like your a fool for giving it to him. if he got to beg why don't his punk ass show some appreciation. most of the time they're like "god bless you" or whatever.

anyway it's rare i give change to a bum but thats all he gets is "change" i usually use that shit to buy water refills.

I work in SF, so no shortage of hobos here...

I would usually have some food from work, and take Golden Gate down to the freeway, and stop and give some lucky bum my plate of hot food.

Did that this one time a while back, and the stink motherfucker had the nerve to ask for a dollar so he could buy a tall can Arizona drink. I felt like running him over, and taking back my beef stroganoff plate.

Another time, I gave a bum food, and he put it on the floor and proceeded to walk through traffic begging for money.

Now, I have a hard time giving them shit. Unless, they're the ones who look really weak and its raining or something...then I feel bad.

Homeless Man Dave Tally Returns Thousands in Lost Cash

http://gimundo.com/news/article/homeless-man-dave-tally-returns-thousands-in-lost-cash/

Dave Tally has no home and few possessions. He rarely has enough to eat. So, when the Tempe, Arizona man discovered an abandoned backpack with $3,300 in cash last week, the temptation to keep the money for himself must have been unbelievable—he could have rented an apartment, picked up some groceries, maybe even fixed his bike. But instead, he did the unexpected: he turned the money into the Tempe Community Action Agency, where he volunteers.

The organization was able to find the source of the cash: a student who’d been planning to use the money to purchase a used car. The student was grateful to have the money returned—and once word spread about Tally’s good deed, the homeless man was richly rewarded.

Strangers around the country have been moved by Tally’s selfless deed, and have sent him donations, totaling far more than the contents of the backpack. He’s been offered jobs to help him get back on his feet. A local dentist has donated a new set of teeth, and a lawyer is working pro bono to help Tally handle an old court case. Most impressively, the city of Tempe proclaimed last Thursday to be Dave Tally Day.

But for Tally, a man who lost his job and home a decade ago after a drunk-driving charge, the best reward he’s received is the newfound respect that he and the homeless community have gained as a result of his actions.

The other day, he said, one of his friends on the street called out: “Thanks, man. You made us all look good.”

i give homeless people money all the time. i believe in karma. once, i was in SF and we were walking down haight street. i was handing out dollar bills to every homeless person i saw. my boys girl asked me, why are you giving your money to all these homeless people? I said...because im on vacation and i have shopping bags in my hand....what im doing is less than the tax on my purchases...

if i see homeless people at intersections and at the beginnning of freeway spots ill hold up traffic to hand a homeless man a dollar....you know what, when i really needed help, people helped me....ive been very blessed to have people see the good in me and help me out when its been needed...so i help any person out i can...that person will remember my good deed and if they dont see me again, theyll help someone else...but as many good deeds as ive done i have alot of people whom now respect me and will help me out when i need it...so if i go to jail i got someone who will bail me out...if i need weed when i dont got weed i got someone who will front me without me even asking...liquor store dudes got me...i can borrow money if needed...these things would not be possible had i not looked out for people...those i do not know and those i do know...the fact is people see my character and understand that i try hard to help people, and thankfully im given the same respects... #thanku

I don't really know what benefit you get from giving him a copy of your Cd, but on the brighter side of things you never really know who your talking too.

Question though, are your wife & mine related, Breh? LOL!!!!!!!!!
