I heard that there will be different avenues to play the beta other then just the bulletstorm. They just havn't said what those are yet so i think they full of shit that you need the disc...

Nah you need BS in the console to play the beta that came with it because that is the place where the menu to play the game is. The other ways, contests, codes, etc won't require BS.

Gears of War 3 Beta Unlockables:
•Beta Tester Medal - Complete one match in the beta to unlock the Beta Tester medal, which will carry over to your gamer profile in the final game. The Beta Tester title will be featured in the "Gears 3" multiplayer lobby as well.
•Thrashball Cole - Complete 50 matches in any game type to unlock the Thrashball Cole character variant in the beta. Once unlocked, complete 10 matches as Thrashball Cole during the beta and the character will carry over to your gamer profile in the final game.
•Gold-Plated Retro Lancer - Show your ultimate "Gears of War" fandom by unlocking the Gold-Plated Retro Lancer. Complete 90 matches in any game type to unlock it for the beta, and score 100 kills with it once unlocked to carry the exclusive weapon skin over to your gamer profile in the final game.
•Flaming Hammerburst - Complete one match by Sunday, April 24 and unlock this weapon variant.
•Flaming Lancer - Complete one match during the week of April 25 and unlock this weapon variant.
•Flaming Sawed-Off Shotgun - Complete one match during the week of May 2 to unlock this weapon variant.
•Flaming Gnasher Shotgun - Complete one match during the week of May 9 to unlock this weapon variant

But don't you need the Bulletstorm disc to play the beta? I saw one guy on ebay selling it, but he wasn't selling the Bulletstorm disc, just the code and he said u need the disc to play it. :confused:

Unless it's changed, I believe Cliff Bleszinski (or however the fuck it's spelled) said for Cole, you have to play 70 games, and then 13 matches as Cole to unlock him (because his number is 83).

its like a weak version of gears of war 2 to me...

kinda like the GOW model i guess thats why gow beta was included

and all that kicking is stupid

but it could quite possibly be fun multiplayer.....i gotta get used to the fact u gotta shoot dude like 20-30 times to kill him

i think the whole run issue....its still kinda slow.....just like gow2....makes you feel like youre moving slow as fuck at times

BTW i just rented it and kept the code...it came on a seperate piece of paper other than the instruction booklet.. i figured if i didnt keep the code, the next renter surely would.....and if it wasnt a new game the code woulda been FAR gone...picked up moves like that from tonguetwista

as a fps it wasnt that bad i might be a little harsh on it being that it feels exactly like GOW besides looking down the sights/gun but apparently maybe that was the point...

im guessing if you catch games while theyre new as fuck at blockbuster you can just get them for the codes.....only reason i even rented this was fight night 5 wasnt there and it was the next best thing rent wise, from my 45 minutes of staring at video game isles
