The wait was the worst, i filed june 1st and two weeks later i got an approval letter then pay for 1 week. then they said hold up, you quit your job, we r gonna need a phone interview for you.(which stops all payments)..and we r gonna make u wait till july 31st! THis was in early June....fuckin government bastids! almost got my car repossessed...

ya but i explained it when i filed, and i had just cause to qualify...they claimed there was a mistake and i put i was laid off at first, but i checked my printout and i didnt...fuckin bstids

ive been unemployed since last december..never got around to filing for unemployment until june..got two checks and then they stopped coming...i have my phone interview tomorrow with the EDD people...what should i say, not say so they approve my claim? will they give me those backpay for January through May?

the phone interview is short..like 5 min or less.

what i did was research online everything i could relating to my case and what qualifies...just google it.

yes you get backpay to the day your claim was approved..the phone interview just puts everything on hold till then...i got 3 checks coming this week!

nope..i think it starts only when u file, but im no expert..u might...holler at the lady tomorrow she will know...it takes approx a week after ur interview for the outcome...my outcome was simply a check...nothing more...then two more checks this week.

SAME HERE... wow it was hell huh? haha... i got 287 on my 1st check and they still owe me some back pay too.. iono how much a week tho.
