I kinda can dig "I Got Dat Work" and I like "Wa La" mostly 'cause I did pretty much anything Kaveo is on.

Tightest overall tracks to me though are "I Hope You Get This Kite" and "Show & Prove".

The obvious choice for next single is "Anybody Can Get It" with Lil Jon, Bone Crusher and David Banner, but I'm tellin' ya, "Show & Prove" with Goapele could be the big surprise off the album as far as radio/video play.

the new album is dope to me. i like it more than grit n grind. the only track i really listen to from that album now is Mustard n Mayo.
40 constantly puts it down for the bay on each album. thats been established. why can't he reach out to the other areas as well?

as for the beats, they aren't futuristic. thats how beats sound now. blame it on the neptunes if you gotta but the bleeps and bloops and distorted synths are what people want right now. the production is quality. try listening to it on a good system to see what i mean.

the new e-40 album is good, that one song with lil john should never have been made, it should never be a single, what are you guys thinking you guys want some fucking ghetto ass muthafuckas who eat fried chicked and collared greens with fucking sweaty fucking ass crack showing doing plumbing for sidejobs to listen to this, why don't yall put that song on repeat and cue some chicken up for this sunday and get down on some fottball action. wht im saying is that shit is garbage, and so is that rep yo city, i think bubba sparxxx would be a great candidate for shit like this

Anyway, cut the bullshit, I'm ready to say that 'If I was a fifth' is the best 40 cut I heard since Element of Surprise or Charlie Hustle, maybe even Major Way. Bosko and 40 REALLY handled business on that cut, believe it.... tight as fuck.....

Okay, so Bosko and some other cats need to get on boards for some more 40 tracks, and Rick Rock done diluted his game, but the album still bumps, and with that Bosko track I'ma say this buries Grit & Grind....

I aint on none of that hatin shit and any 40 album is on my top 10 for any year, but this eats up Grit & Grind, period......... Let me say it again after listenin 7 or 8 times...... 'If I was a Fifth' the tightest 40 track since right back in the days....

....and how can you hate on an album with that status...............................

I am diggin this shit. I am listening to it right now for the first time. Another nice effort by 40.
Well, like I said, LOYALTY & BETRAYAL and GRIT & GRIND didn't do much for me when I first heard them, but I play them now and they seem cool as hell. Hopefully, that'll be the case with BREAKING NEWS. I stuck with those two and now I like them, so I'll keep playing BREAKING NEWS and see what happens.

PEACE!

Truthfully people are beginning to come to their senses these days, and realizing Loyalty is a fucking sick cd. I am one of these people, for sure. I doubted it would grow as hard as it did on me these past few years, and I know there are tons here that are in the same boat. It really might be considered a Full Classic soon.
