I still think it's the defense that wins for the Steelers. Troy is one of the better safties in the league. Next to Ed Reed. But their D is top notch.
I agree our Defense is top notch, but it has been for years like Arson said. Pittsburgh has always had vicious defenses over the years, but the offenses couldn't come through in clutch situations! Look at Neil O' Dennell, Kordell Stewart, Tommy Maddox...

Roethlisberger solved that and does rise to the occasion when necessary! The stats don't always show everything...

philip rivers aint no superstar that guy realy suckz romo is way better.right next to brees yea right brees is 100 timez betters than rivers.
RIVERS A WAY BETTER THEN ROMO. ROMO DOESN'T COME THRU WHEN IT MATTERS.

Also, there is no way you can put Matt Hassel-Peck on Star Status or even in the same category with Big Ben, GBR!!!
HASSELBECK IS A GOOD QB

Big Ben is a Elite QB, Pittsburg was knocking on the door for a decade, till they get him, and all of a sudden they got two more rings, He has legendary clutch plays, and dude is still young, His tackle against the Colts to save the game, should make him a legend, Big Ben is more then just a QB, he is a football player.
BEN IS NOT AN ELITE QB

Hasselbeck may not have a SB ring on his finger, but he certainly deserved one for SB XL, but the refs made sure he didn't get one. Hasselbeck went from a low back up for Favre to the starting QB of the Hawks and putting up good numbers. This season, I think Hass will put up greater numbers with Housh. I don't think Hass will be in the Hall of Fame, but he's still good. Especially when he's healthy. That SB that Big Ben has against us should have been ours. But thats a different story. Hasselbeck is a real good pocket sniper, and there is no denying that.

Ben imo should be in the superstar category not elite. Elite to me means a qb has close to no flaws and I just don't think Ben is at that point yet.

You must have forgot about Hassel-Peck's Int. in the red zone during Super Bowl XL! Also, his lack of using good clock management at the end of the first half and the end of the game. His audibles he called and time wasted were horrible! I have also noticed Hassel-Peck has blown several other games in the past for these same reasons. Just because he puts up numbers during the regular season doesn't make him a star, GBR!

I can't believe some of you are still whining about the refs from four years ago, LMFAO! I have a solution for you... Re-watch the whole game and see how many times HomoGrena and Hassel-Peck actually fucked it up for your chances, GBR! Funny shit...

Nah I'm good man. I'll let you kick a dead horse here. I just brought up Hasselbeck in SB XL because he had some good numbers in that game, and still lost. It's all good. I ain't even trippin' on it anymore. Although Stevens did piss me off in that game. I still say Big Ben is in his rightful spot as in "Star".

Ben needs to be elite or superstar at least

Philip Rivers needs to be dropped to stars or knocking at the door. he hasn't proved shit.

every "knocking at the door" player is better than him and has led their teams further and I can't stand Matt Handlescack

brees not being in the elite category is a joke. its not his fault he plays on one of the absolute worst defensive teams in the league. his numbers over the last few years shit all over brady and manning
