Why do the intentions have to be there to warrant a reaction? If I go up to a girl and mention she is overweight, I'm pretty sure she is going to take offense even though I didn't intend to hurt her feelings. You can't just go up to some mexican and call them a border hopper and say you were just listening to the news, and you weren't trying to be disrespectful.
