Such a great fight so much heart. He got rocked early in the 11th and his legs were gone but somehow he managed to tell his brain to stay on his feet for as long as he did. Incredible fight.

I don't think he would have imo. AJ is not the type of boxer who would allow you to jab him to death. What I would pay to see though is the Wlad that fought Brewster. It would basically be a 6 round fight tops, may the best man win :D

Thing is though 5 years ago Wlad would have fought a totally different fight - stay at a distance, pump the jab and try not to engage. That may not have worked well against Joshua.

When was the last time you saw Wlad fight like he did on Saturday? Probably never. Dude was literally bouncing on his toes, using head movement dodging punches while staying in front of Joshua and being aggressive. Totally different guy in the ring. I think that had a lot to do with the fact he was the challenger and trying to take the belts versus being champion and trying to protect the belts. Totally different mentality and that's what made for such a good fight.

Maybe but his ability to keep people on the outside was better back then too. If he could've weathered Joshua's early storm he could've been able to wear him down with the jab and left AJ open his clobbering straight right, especially if AJ tired out.

I'm not saying Wlad would've won but I definitely think he could've fighting like he did before. Either way it was an awesome fight and I still think Wlad could take out some top fighters.
