I think Andre Ward nailed it when he said since Chavez didn't prepare for this fight, had to boil down to make weight, he had no energy in the ring. It was clear any time Chavez let his hands go he hurt Vera, but he didn't have the energy to keep up any kind of pace, thus allowing Vera to be more active and put in work. Chavez only has himself to blame for what should be a loss.

Chavez Jr got has ads beat. Top Rank and HBO is cashing him out to Ward next on PPV. If Chavez actually trained he would be pretty good he does have a great chin and a nice left hook. But real time he's a weed head.

Stevenson beat the every loving shit out of Cloud. Stevenson vs. B-Hop or the Russian next.

On a side note. Whenever Andre Ward retires he will become one of the best boxing commentators ever. I honestly enjoy his telecasts as much as Teddy Atlas.
Bang!

Chavez JR has skill but doesn't take the sport seriously. Watching him fight is similar to Jamarcus Russell play football. All the hype and tools but doesn't wanna sharpen them. Mediocre bastard

If there is ever a dispute of who won a fight all you have to do is look at the friends and family in the crowd. Look at Chavez's girl as soon as the fight ended and look at her when the announcement was made. Look at Cloud's mom fainting in the ring. Shit like that happens all the time, your family and friends know when you got your ass beat.

Right. Thats another way u know when u lost a fight or that the fix was in. When they announced CJ Ross's score of a draw between Floyd/Canelo the crowd was booing and that was a pro Canelo crowd. The crowd will let u know what they think despite who they rooted for and thats a good thing. Got Em!!

Well yea there are exceptions. Dela Hoya at the time was the biggest star in boxing so that played a part. Got Em!!

Chavez Jr. has fans?
I just don't get it...

He's not the cash cow that he used to be. No need to rip opponents off.
Oh well, good fight...
.......

Chavez Jr’s points win over Brian Vera—marred in controversy both before the fight and once official scorecards were read—generated more than 1.4 million viewers during Saturday’s live broadcast on HBO from Carson, California. The figure makes the event the most watched cable fight of 2013, according to Nielsen Ratings reports.
