And Brian Viloria beat down Tyson Marquez to unify in a fight of the year candidate, stopped him in 10 after scoring a few knockdowns. This guys been on quite the streak lately. Stops Marquez, stopped Solis, stopped Segura. All champions.
Not to mention that he's done after being considered a guy that never lived up to his hype. Viloria was ridiculously hyped after coming out of the amateurs, then he had a rough stretch, then won a title, then inexplicably lost that title to Carlos Tamara, and that seemed to be the book on him. Fantastic run by Viloria.
Broner is dope, not a fan of his but his boxing game is on point. He's going to be a factor for a long time. Glad to see him and Canelo being up to the task of carrying the torch once Mayweather, Cotto, Marquez, Pacquiao, Martinez, etc... retire.
Agreed. You never know if Broner is gonna be a mega star but he sure has the skills and personality to make a run at it. Every time people spout off about boxing dying or being dead and what'll happen after guys like Pacquiao/Mayweather people come along to keep it rolling. You can go to almost any era and see people yapping about what'll happen to boxing after "insert name here" retires?
@ 2-0 or anyone else .. any exciting not on TV fight that I should look for that happened in the past 2 months or so? Got some free time for Thanksgiving and was gonna go on a boxing watching spree. Got most of the title fights downloaded and ready to go.
I've never thought of Guerrero as a guy that's gonna mow through multiple divisions but he seems to moving up well and he's catching Berto at a great time after a year long layoff and illegal substance controversy.
I'd like to lean towards Berto here though. Never seen Guerrero against a guy this big and this fast, I'll take my chances with him.
I'm leaning toward Berto too, but the injury, long lay-off, and PED crap makes me think twice. All i know is that the winner of this fight will be in line for a nice payday. Can Guerrero win the fight and get that big payday he's been looking for.
co-sign with naner. Guerrero hasn't fought anyone this big before and berto does have some pop. His best chance obviouisly is to use distance, use his jab and try to take berto deep into the fight, where berto has had some stamina problems in the past. Easier said then done, though. The Ghost tends to have moments in fights when he trades and drifts away from the game plan.

off the top of my head Lucian Bute vs. Denis Grachev was a pretty damn good fight. Chris John's fight against that Thai fighter was surpisingly good as well.
ghost will make this fight look easy...i am jus really bias lolz...but ghost got this...hes super focused never gets caught up in any hype....well see sat tho cant wait
If the Ghost wins it will definitely be by decision. Im still unsure about his punching power especially since he has moved up in weight. His last fight looked liked he didnt have any power but he definitely has some boxing skills. Got Em!!
