my dad lives out in the middle of nowhere so he has direct tv. I called to ask how much it would be to add showtime and they just gave it to him free for the month and said it would end at the end of the month.

It works with Cox cable because you don't have a contract but as far as I know, a lot of places allow you to cancel it whenever you want.
