damn Golvokin killed Ishida. That's pretty impressive being that Ishida has never been dropped not against James Kirkland, Paul Williams or Dmitry Pirog.
Here is the video (Ishida looks dead):
Chris, this was basically just a stay busy fight for GGG, he has an HBO June date. Hopefully someone steps up to the plate!
very good fight once again. Alvarado just simply outworked Rios and i dont think he was really running or anything he just outsmarted Rios. This would be fight of the year if it wasnt for that fight 2 weeks ago
Always great to see someone avenge their loss.
I'm not even sure where Alvarado trained this time. They said Denver this time but they film all his interviews in Maywood.
I had changed my mind to Alvarado out-boxing Rios before the fight but it was literally a last minute change of mind as the fight was about to start. It seemed pretty obvious that Alvarado was gonna mostly try and box all night. damn, damn, damn good fight though. Very freakin entertaining. This is Chrishoggalypse by the way.
I realize that Rios basically was exposed in that Abril fight, but was he exposed for real here? Alvarado isn't that good of a "boxer" and his basic ring movement really bothered Rios. No way he has a chance against Pac or a deadly accurate puncher like Marquez

I think you said it with Abril - he was exposed badly in that fight. Against Alvardo it was a pretty close fight and hurt Mike numerous times....but yeah, definitely shows how movement is the key to beating Rios.
I would also worry about the amount of punishment Rios has taken the past couple years. The mileage is adding up quickly so I wouldn't doubt a KO loss in his near future.
