Damn how could this not be fight of the year regardless if cuz of bad defenses? Ghost came out with a fury of punches in this 12th but Kamegai answered back. Ghost did win though by like 2 rounds

I said that I expected him to struggle, but that was pretty ridiculous. It's crazy to me that he used to be more of a boxer-puncher. He's so flat footed now it's ridiculous. I don't think he'd really beat any of the top 10. Having said that, I'd still like to see him vs. Broner.

The problem Guerrero is gonna find himself in, is that if he keeps getting paid that kind of salary he's gonna have to take some good fights. I don't think he's a huge draw, if I was him I'd be trying like crazy to schedule a Kamegai rematch and go from there.

If I was him I'd try to get a Malignaggi fight or something. That probably pays better than his rematch will. He's also in a bad spot because I can't see him getting paid anywhere near what he did tonight, and the level of competition has to go up from here I would think. He fought Mayweather 2 fights ago. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Guerrero/Collazo next.

I think Malignaggi is done with boxing personally. He's doing well commentating and IMO he's currently the best fighter/commentator right now. I honestly don't care who he fights next, I'm just sure he'll stay away from anyone skilled ATM. I watched 2 Kamegai fights and in both he looked ordinary, getting nearly shut out in one.

It's going to get overshadowed because the fight was good, but it was really a terrible performance for Guerrero.

I think there's zero point in that too, but that seems to be the GB model of getting fights. I guess that could very well be different now since he's signed with Haymon and everything that's happened with GB since. But if I had to guess, that would be his opponent. I think he's already showed that he doesn't want a piece of Thurman and really don't expect him to take that fight now.

I agree, Malignaggi is probably done. He took a whale of a beating in that last fight.

Thurman is with al haymon too. And since Porter is fighting Kell Brook it's open. I doubt it though too.

Amir Khan wants to fight in November and since Floyd is fighting TBA in September Khan can't be Floyd's opponent because he'll be fasting for Ramadan. So I could see Khan wanting to fight Guerrero since Guerrero isn't a huge puncher.

Khan said this last month:

"I think Guerrero could be an ideal opponent in the future, even a rematch with Maidana or Porter, who just had a great win," Khan said

Not only that, I'm sure he'd like his chance to stop Guerrero to add more intrigue to a possible fight with Mayweather. I don't like to speculate who fights who and why, I honestly don't even know what fighters are signed by what managers, I just know what promotions they fight for and sometimes I don't even know that.

My whole reason for bringing that up was just saying that Guerrero would likely want to stay away from anyone decent if he can continue to make good money not fighting them. He'd look handily fighting anyone respectable fighting in that fashion. Could have been the layoff though, we'll see if he steps in the ring again soon.

Guerrero looks like the perfect opponent for Khan. Beat someone whos still considered one of the better welterweights who looks like is on his downside but will still be regarded as a good win

He does. Maybe Mayweather surprises us all and fights him. I mean, who the fuck is Floyd gonna fight in September? Maidana rematch or.............???

Maybe Floyd will cancel his fight. I hear Chavez jr is locked for a PPV on the same date (Mexican independence weekend) and rumor is against Froch. I think more Mexicans would order that PPV over Floyd's.

Yeah, that was basically Top Ranks way of saying screw you Floyd, and I'm sure they've been waiting a long time to be able to do that and finally go the chance. That was really the perfect opportunity to do that. I suspect Floyd pushes his date back to accommodate the Khan fight personally. But that kinda messes up his schedule if he wants to fight on May 5th or so

All Guerrero did was fight the "Bradley" fight in order to gain some fans. When the Ghost used that jab and fought outside a lil that's when all the big shots came in. Guerrero will fight either Thurman or Pacman. Now, it's not just Top Rank that is after Floyd, GBP is also after him. Floyd is trying to take over and soak up all the money from Showtime, and GB don't want that. Shit, by the way the commentators were interviewing Oscar, it sounds like they don't want Floyd to takeover either. It's like they figured him and Al out but it's too late. But Floyd has literally no opponents left so it will be Canelo if he fights after Mex Indy Day.

As far as Loma, I told you all he would win, EASILY! But now the question is what does TR want to do with him? I think the only person that is down to fight him would be Rigo, but TR would have to pay him BIG cash for Rigo to move up. I have my doubts but I think HBO wouldn't want to lose him to Showtime cuz big fights can be made over there at 122. I got my money on Loma vs anybody

Loma vs Donaire, Walters, Jhonny Gonzalez or The Mexican Russian. All with Top Rank too.
