Guillermo Rigondeaux hopes you watch him on UniMás Saturday night – "I plan to be more aggressive to be more impressive. But let me make this clear, I do not make mistakes in the ring. I fight my fight. I am frustrated the two other champions in my division Leo Santa Cruz and Kiko Martinez will not step up to fight. How do you not want to prove you're the best? I do. The media should be holding them accountable. A real champion accepts the challenges from the best in his division. I get criticized by the media for my style. Maybe the media should be criticizing the champions who deny boxing fans the fights they crave? Fans deserve better."

Tyson Fury v Dereck Chisora: BBBoC charge Fury with misconduct after foul-mouthed tirade at pre-fight press conference

When the journalist questioned whether Fury had any respect for the sport or the members of the public in attendance, the 25-year-old responded: "If you don't like the station, change the channel bitch.

"This is my show, I do what I want. This is boxing, it isn't tap-dancing. If anybody doesn't like that they shouldn't be here.

"I'm in fight mode, kill-mode. I don't apologise, it is what it is."

Fury also used less than civilised language when addressing Chisora and in reference to IBF, WBA and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko, prompting the BBBofC to take action.

"The British Boxing Board of Control considered the behaviour of boxer Tyson Fury at the press conference for his forthcoming contest against Dereck Chisora," read a statement onhttp://www.bbbofc.com.

"The stewards have decided to call Mr. Fury before them under Regulation 25 (misconduct) to their next meeting on Wednesday, 13th August 2014 when this matter will be dealt with.

"Failure to attend this hearing will result in Mr. Fury's boxer's licence being suspended."

Damn Mayfield falling off like no other that sucks. Always liked how he did the get low when he won.
I have it recorded, did he look terrible? It was a solid match up as Taylor is a solid prospect as well.

Before this fight was signed Mayfield was scheduled to fight in BR down here against a local guy Desmond Brock on 08/06 and understandably pulled out of the fight when this was signed. Would've been cool to see him fight live.

*** SPOILER ****

you basically spoiled it by saying it was shocking and the picture on youtube of the clip showed you who won lol Was it a headbutt? It seemed like it. Either way, Hasim Rahman felt those last 2 shots and had a flashback to Lewis.

I was only trying to post the link but apparently just posting the link embeds the video now. Anyways, protect yo self at all time! Kinda like the Ortiz Floyd fight, except the Thai fighter was looking at Rigo not the ref. It just happened so fast. Touched gloves them bam, 1-2 KO. Lightening fast. That's Rigo's last fight with Top Rank so I wonder where he goes from here. Hopefully his next promoter will actually try to promote him. No body fucks with him at 122.

cheap shot, yea protect yourselves at all times but dude just took HIS headbutt and was clearly still hurt...fucced up.
Why is it fucked up? Dude was ordered to fight, touched gloves, was looking right at Rigondeaux and Rigondeaux punched him. Only blame here is on the Thai fighter. Anyways, there goes the Thai fighters 37 fight win streak haha

dude obviously wasn't ready for that, like I said he was still hurt, the ref should've taken more time for him to recover.

That's not Rigondeaux's problem though. He took care of business. Ref said fight and he did.

Just like I defended Floyd emphatically against Ortiz, I'll defend Rigondeaux (or any other fighter in this situation) the same way. A fighter must be ready at all times when the ref says fight. If you're not, that is 100% on you. Every time. Ortiz was an idiot and so was the Thai fighter. Be ready...don't look to tap gloves and be friendly. The opponent across from you is an enemy trying to beat you, not a friend.

Kind of feel bad for Sod, but if you look up the rules you only get time for an accidental low blow not a clash of heads. It's not like Rigo headbutted him purposely and then he just did his job after that.

Gilberto Ramirez, that kid looks legit. I haven't seen him in an unimpressive fight yet.

Sod was badly out matched, it wasn't going to work out well for him regardless, I mean he was in the ring with RigonGOD after all.

Yeah I don't think he was winning anyway, just don't like seeing fights end like that. Whether outclassed or not, like to see guys get a real go at something without something weird like that happening.
