What's next for Luis Ortiz? He says he wants Fury, Wilder or Klitschko next. Right now, I'd favor him over all three.

He has the interim WBA title and Fury holds the WBA belt so I'm not sure how much more he has to do for a mandatory (WBA is the most retarded so who fucking knows what they will do).

Ya I don't know.
It was probably the first time everyone (including HBO) claimed robbery and I was on the judges side.

Thought it was fair.
Don't forget one judge had Sosa winning 96-94.
Walter's was lucky to get away with a draw.
Im like Max Kellerman. He didnt win a round to me lol. Got Em!!

What are your reasons for picking Wilder?

I don't have much faith in Wilder after watching him go toe to toe with Eric Molina and not being too impressive against the Frenchman Johann Duhaupas. These are a couple of guys you'd expect any top heavyweight to absolutely destroy.

Yeah I think you're gonna see a lot of heavy's stay away from Oritz claiming prior drug use as the reason. Hopefully he can force the WBA to fight the winner of Chagaev/Browne and then try and get the winner of Fury/Klitschko in the ring.

No way Wilder or Glazkov/Martin fight him.

I think he fights up to his opponent at times. Also different fights, different styles and different results. I wouldnt compare one fight with another. Just like most thought he would lose to Stiverne but he didnt and dominated that fight. I think he would do the same to Ortiz and out box him. I think it would be a good fight though unlike the Stiverne fight lol. Got Em!!

Yeah I mean Wilder wanted a sperm test done for Povetkin lol so like you said I don't think he's going to get any of these guys unless he forces it through a mandatory, even then it's no guarantee. A shame too because he doesn't have a lot of time. He's basically where a prime Sergio Martinez was when he busted on the seen beating Pavlik.

The Stiverne fight was essentially 50/50 because Wilder was such an unknown, meaning no one could really say how good he was at the time since he only fought a bunch of stiffs. Now we know what Wilder is. We've seen him tested, against poor opposition and his game can be analyzed now - his lack of weapons in his arsenal for one (he's extremely limited offensively and defensively). Also his chin has shown some signs of vulnerability...he got shook by a couple of shots against opponents without much punching power.

Now, we can compare Stiverne to Ortiz and it's really night and day. Ortiz had a decorated amateur career, as you know coming from the Cuban amateur system which is world class obviously. Over his career, he racked up a highly impressive 343-19 amateur record, with notable wins over notable wins over Mike Perez, Monte Barrett and others and now just destroyed Bryant Jennings who obviously is no push over himself. The experience factor alone makes Ortiz light years ahead of Wilder, who hasn't even fought anyone as skilled as Jennings. Then you factor in size and style - Ortiz himself is 6-4 with an 84" reach and a southpaw, so he won't be some small undersized opponent against Wilder. Granted, Wilder is taller but he doesn't use the jab like he should and always ends up giving up any height/reach advantage he normally has, plus his leaky defense - getting caught cold by slow, telegraphed punches is a sign that he's not going to be able to avoid Ortiz' monster power shots.

I just haven't seen any signs that Wilder has been progressing as he's looked worse in each fight since beating a very lethargic Stiverne (later found a medical reason for that).

Haven't had a chance to watch those yet (or any of the fights from 12/31 in Japan). Did check out the Inoue/Parrenas & Mendoza/Yaegashi fights though. Inoue did exactly what you'd think he'd do to a guy like Parrenas though it was cool to see him against a guy his height.

Mendoza Vs. Yaegashi turned out to be a dope fight.
