Of course, it's like the circus. You don't go to the circus to see normal shit. You go to see the weird and unsual, like Manny Pacquiao putting his head in the mouth of the Lion (DLH). Only thing they don't tell you is the lion is the oldest Lion they have who has had the will beaten out of him (or in DLH's case overtrained and starved for months to get down to a weight he could barely get down to). It looks great to the average fan, but stinks to high heaven to anyone with sense enough to know the laws of average didn't balance out.

They want to turn boxing into entertainment, which dumbs down the sport. They need more WWF ala UFC and less tactical battles. More knock outs and near deaths, and less courageous battles where possibly both men are still standing.

How am I being critical when I been saying Mayweather should fight Mosely. Did you even look up my previous post where I listed the fights I would like to see? Cause if you did, you would have saw the "last" fight I would like to see is a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight. Here, I'll list them again (you may have a different list, but this is what I would like to see).

Mayweather/Mosely
Mayweather/Clottey
Clottey/Anybody dammit
Clottey/Berto
Bradley/Berto
Mosely/Cotto Pt. 2
Cotto/Clottey Pt. 2
Cotto/Collazo Pt. 2
Mayweather/Spinks
Mosely/Spinks
Mosely/Clottey
Bradley/Pacquiao
etc. etc. etc. etc.
And the last one I listed on that post (wherever I posted it at) was Pacman/Mayweather. That's a fight I don't have to see to know who the winner will be.

In all fairness, they both have the same dilemna in their career. You get to a point where you climb the ranks, now you want to be compensated for your work, even if it means fighting a dumbed down fight. Right, we get it... At some point the money means more to them than their respect or reputation. Yeah, Pac has fought the mexican warriors all while sidestepping the African American ones. At least Mayweather fought fighters regardless of race. you can't say the same for Pacman.

Mayweather is and will always rank higher than Pacman regardless of whether they meet or not. My opinion. Not shared by you but still valid to those who agree with me

One thing I will say about Floyd is when he was bypassing fighters, he wasn't doing it because they weren't good fighters, he was saying what have these fighters done to deserve a chance at me. Let em keep earning their way up the ladder and hopefully we'll cross paths. That aint necessarily ducking a fighter. That's telling the truth. Of course from a fans perspective, you might not like it, but the route to fighting one of the best is a long one, you gotta climb your way up knocking off anyone in front of you the same way Pacman did, and the same way Mayweather did. You don't just get to jump to the front of the line because you have skill. Most of the fighters who wanted to fight Floyd have lost at least once since they yelled his name including Paul Williams,Margarito, Cotto and Mosely.

You're stupid for the "side steppin the african american" fighters comments.

What African American fighters were at 122? 126? 130? 135? The only ONE African American fighter worth a damn was nate campbell at 135, which may have been a possibility if not for Oscar wanting to fight Pacquiao so desperately (since pac was only at 135 for one single match) and is the sole reason Pac moved up in weight and never stayed at 135 (the OG plan of Freddie Roach was to move up to 135 and unify).

Yeah, that whole "Pacman doesn't fight black fighters" has been around for a while, and it's the dumbest thing I've heard. If you want to defend Floyd for asking "What has a fighter done to deserve a fight with me?"...you can say the same thing for Manny. What has ANY black fighter (in his weight divisions) done to deserve a fight? What fighter is there? Nate Campbell. Who else? Anyone? NO. He fought the BEST FIGHTERS in his divisions.

If you don't recognize any African American fighters in any ranks Manny has fought in as he has ascended the ranks than you are the stupid one. Nah, I'm not stupid at all (matter of fact, I'm a act like you didn't just insult me for having an opinion). If you want to name call then don't respond to my posts. Show me the same respect I've shown you as I've disagreed with you. I make my post and keep it movin, let's keep it respectful regardless of our opinions. It really aint that serious ya dig. I figured you was one of the real ones on here who could agree to disagree but if not, Let it be known.

The only african american under 130 pounds in William206.

I meant it was a stupid comment, imo. I'm not sayin you're stupid as I enjoy discussing boxing with you (and pretty much anyone for that matter) and I know you do have boxing knowledge, you're a smart guy, no question. My bad for suggesting anything otherwise. I just think you have a strong bias against Pacman. So,

Lets investigate the comment further. Name the African American fighters Pacquiao side stepped at 122, 126, 130 and 135.

Should he have fought Raheem? That's about the best I could come up with.

I don't think he should go out of his way to pick an "African-American" fighter. Why? To be politically correct? Floyd saying someone needs to earn a shot at him is fine, but by his ''great'' standards, no one would fight him. He'd never fight. Why does Marquez get a shot, and Mosley didn't?

Marquez called him out or that fight probably wouldn't have happened. I think Mosely and Mayweather having been circling each other waiting for the other to blink for the longest time. When Mosely had the upper hand he wasn't trying to see Floyd, it's only now that he sees Floyd as the road to money that he is campaigning for the fight since no one else of note will fight him.

@ 2-0-Sixx, I probably read into your statement the wrong way. If I did, I stand corrected. And I don't have no bias towards Manny. I have enjoyed watching him fight like many others. I don't even care to see him fight Floyd. I think he should go back down to 140 and try his luck there or 135 and fight Diaz, Campbell and a whole other host of fighters that would make for good match ups. As for naming a host of African American fighters, Raheem would have been a good one. Diego Corrales would have been a good one, Casamayor (not African American but of Afrolatin descent) would have been a great one. Holt who gave Bradley a hell of a fight would fit nicely. It's way to many to name. I'm not talking about at a certain weight at all. you are right if you're going back to those early weight classes. I'm talking in general. Mayweather aint the only big dog he could make a case for fighting.

Zahir Raheem kind of blew his shot. Morales beat Pacquiao. Pacquiao and Morales already agreed in principle to have a rematch but both wanted a fight in between. Morales was obviously shocked by Raheem and lost, and then he fought Pacquiao as they were to rematch anyway. There was a window for Raheem, but he blew his shot by losing to Acelino Freitas immediately after beating Morales.

lol, well I heard plenty of people use his name when discussing this "pacquiao doesn't fight african american's" topic. It boils down to Raheem and Campbell. There simply are no other african americans at those weight classes worth a damn.

At 140 though, Bradley is making a name for himself and if he continues to do so, he has a legit arguement to fight Pac. The only problem is Pac is so big the options are Cotto right now, Floyd & Shane Mosley. So that's two BIGGER african american names anyway!

2-0-Sixx... One fight should not make you ineligible for a fight with Manny. Freitas is or was a good fighter. He'd give Manny hell. He simply ducked Raheem. That loss should have made him easy prey. Roach is no dummy. He knows who to keep his fighter away from

but who is raheem? The same excuses floyd makes, "who is so and so" or "you have 5 losses (a comment towards mosley") you could apply there. What was in it for Pac to fight an unknown fighter coming off a loss?

That's why it's not fair to say he ducked him. If there was no real incentive to fight him, he wasn't a mandatory, there was no demand, no money, etc. etc.

Just like Mayweather already beat DLH and Hatton (when he was undefeated). It doesn't have the same ring to it Manny did it.

Althought a Pacquiao-Bradley fight would be a great fight for boxing fans, we all know that the fight is a long shot with other big money fights available. It might be sad, but at this point in his career, Manny obviously isn't going to fight every up and coming fighter that's out there.

Same exact thing can be said for Floyd.

He isn't going to fight Paul Williams for the same reasons.
