and people shit on haymon this card is a great way to start off the nbc deal and its rumors of garcia vs peterson on that card too, big up too uncle al for bringing back boxing to the mainstream & free tv this is a ppv quality card
You know what the best part of most relationships are? The beginning.

It's a great card but I'm more curious to see what happens a year or so from now then immediately.
Exactly. First card to kick off the series you'd expect to be good. UFC started off their Fox deal with a bang then it fizzled. I want to know what the middle and end is like before making any conclusions.

Yes it's like a date as well. You take a girl out to the best restaurant, give her chocolates and roses, horse carriage ride but then try to simply go to McDonalds (an CZAR @CZAR move) or the movies for the second day and it's a wrap. Lol.

Well shit I hope this isn't the best restaurant Haymon has in mind. Thurman vs Guerrero is cool and all, something that should have happened last year, but there are a lot more appealing places to eat with his large menu.

Now I feel like Teddy Atlas with the stupid metaphors thanks!

Al-HaymonOn the eve of one of the most anticipated boxing related press conferences in recent memory, The New York Times’ Richard Sandomir is reporting on certain details revolving around Al Haymon’s deal with NBC Sports Group that will be officially announced tomorrow.

Most are aware of Haymon’s plans to hold his first card on March 7th, with Goosen Promotions as the likely promoter. NBC will have little say as Haymon has purchased the time on the network and will be responsible for the cards.

NBC will broadcast 20 shows: 5 of them on prime time NBC, 6 will be on NBC on Saturday afternoon, and the remaining 9 will be on NBCSN.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not be associated with the deal from a competition standpoint, although his promotional outfit could play host for Haymon.

It is rumored that Adrien Broner will headline the March 7th card. Other fighters reportedly set to headline the NBC shows are Robert Guerrero, John Molina, Danny Garcia, and Lamont Peterson.

In this buy-time arrangement, Haymon Boxing will reportedly pay around $20M annually to feature shows on NBC and NBCSN. Sandomir reports that NBC will produce the shows while Al Michaels will host the NBC prime time shows with “Sugar” Ray Leonard playing analyst for some of the cards.

I used to avoid taking chicks on an actual date until I decided if I really liked them lol It worked for like 3 years. I took one chick into Manhattan on the longest/worst date ever, and another chick I did the same thing on a great date. But other than that, I didn't take a chick on a single date until after I hit it first. Not saying that's a great strategy but it saved me a grip at the time.

Daaamn. Al Haymon really did screw over Showtime, basically admitted they just used them lol. Will be surprised if Espinoza doesn't get the ax immediately. Anyways, Danny Garcia vs Lamont Peterson April 11th on NBC, per his presser.

I get the skepticism of some, but they're starting off right. Media/fans need to keep pressure up to keep these kind of matches coming

Nah you're missing the point. If date 1 was so extravagant and you don't top it in date two, there will be no date three.

No more dating advice.

Looks like I will be canceling Showtime pretty quick lol
Espinoza about to call Bob Arum like, "hey old buddy! Long time no chat! So uhhh, we got some spots open!" lmao what a CLOWN getting played like a piano.

No for real though, Showtime is in trouble at least for the immediate future (unless they quickly open up the doors to all promoters). They just lost their Canadian deal which is actually a pretty big deal and the reason why it was lost was because of 2014 being so bad (they said no more Showtime because it wasn't putting on quality fights and the company that was airing Showtime in Canada said it wasn't fair to it's subscribers).

Haymon apparently also bought time on Spike TV (I have not fact checked this yet so don't quote me on that) so perhaps his plan is to use NBC for the bigger fights and Spike for the up & comers? I don't know and I still don't know where them will be coming from for the NBC deal to make a profit but if he found away more power to him. We've seen NBC deals in the past obviously but without nearly as good as a roster, so like I said before I HOPE he does well and doesn't blow it. This is boxing's ONE SHOT at primetime TV probably for a long time if he screws it up. You put Garcia and Broner on primetime, that should do well. So far we got two good fights announced. Consistency is key here.

It's cuz Haymon Boxing is not a promo company that works on it's own. They will use other promo companies in order for Haymon to stand a chance financially. But IF Floyd vs Manny does happen, we will see TR and GBP fights occur no matter what channel decides to show it. HBO will obviously show the KO type fighters, while Showtime will show the more technical fighters. It's even better for fighters like Rigo or Chocolatito as Showtime will pick them up. So since Floyd called Oscar a piece of shit for taking Canelo to HBO, I wonder what he thinks of Haymon?

Battle, why the fuck would he need other companies to stand the chance financially when he has VC funds?

What does FLOYD think of Haymon? He says Al Haymon is the best in boxing and has said other entertainers should do business with him. Wtf are you on today?
