Julio Cesar Chavez, Antonio Margarito and Erik Morales will walk Pacquiao to ring

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nov. 20, 2008

I think people are fascinated with the David and Goliath story of this fight. Can the David [Manny Pacquiao] really beat the Goliath [Oscar De La Hoya]? Big vs. small. The Mexican-American vs. The Mexican Assassin, although Manny hates to be called that even though he’s beaten so many Mexican fighters. And a lot of people will be pulling for Manny, including a lot of Mexicans. We’re going to walk to the ring that night with Julio Cesar Chavez, Antonio Margarito and Erik Morales on our side. I could name five more if I had my head on straight. They’ll all be in our corner because Manny fights like a true Mexican and Oscar doesn’t. He’s always struggled to have Mexicans on his side. I still say that’s why he chose Nacho (Beristain) to train him. By choosing a true Mexican trainer, he’s trying to get true Mexican fans on his side. It doesn’t seem to be working. He does have a lot of fans, though. I know that.

Why would it be gay for Morales to walk with Manny? If this was true, which I'm not sure it is, why would it be wrong?

What has De La Hoya done for Mexican fighters during his career? Erik Morales has been a pro for like 15 years, and for many of them, was one of the best, if not the best, in his division. Same with Marco Antonio Barerra. Rafael and Juan Manuel Marquez. Israel Vasquez. Antonio Margarito. Jorge Arce. The list goes on...

...and now because he's taking this fight against Manny, we should all rally behind him and support El Nino De Oro?

No thanks.

I don't think that was meant to be taken literally, as in they're going to physically walk Manny to the ring that night. I just think that they'll be supporting him.

Oscar knew he'd never have the people fully behind him after what he did to Julio Cesar Chavez. lol

Yeah, after re-reading it, I see what they meant. The thing is...Manny is appreciated and loved by Mexican fans because of his style. That's true. He's a warrior. He doesn't run around the ring. He's not content with being up 4-5-6 points...he wants to knock you out. That's what I love about him and his style.

Oscar wears fishnets.

Paul Williams vs Verno Phillips Nov 29th

"The Most Feared Fighter in Boxing," Paul "The Punisher" Williams taking on 3-time World Champion, Verno Phillips, in an interim 12 round WBO Super Welterweight World Championship bout, will take place two days later on Saturday, November 29, at the Inland Empire's hottest state-of-the-art building, Citizens Business Bank Arena located in Ontario, California and broadcast on HBO.

Interview w/Paul Williams:

QUESTION: What do you believe makes a fighter like 3-time World Champion Verno Phillips accept a challenge from you, but others avoiding the clash such as Shane Mosely, Antonio Margarito and Kelly Pavlik?

ANSWER: Verno Phillips has no choice. His mortality table has come to an end. He's not in the situation where he can pick and choose.

QUESTION: It's known that you are an extremely large fighter for being a natural 147-pound with an 82" reach and your physical size is comparable to heavyweight fighters such as the Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitali, who have a reach of 81" and 80" respectively. Do you believe that this is the main reason your counterparts avoid you even when millions of dollars have been offered to them to fight you?

ANSWER: It's not so much my reach. It is more about the fighter that I am. Verno has fought larger fighters and won. This is about individual ability. If Verno thought that he couldn't win, he wouldn't have taken the fight. He must feel that with his skill level he will be able to win.

QUESTION: Phillips stated that he has the advantage in the weight department as well as being able to take your punch. Would you agree with either of his points?

ANSWER: I wouldn't say that. I go back to Roy Jones when he fought John Ruiz. John Ruiz was a natural 230-pounder and he didn't hurt Roy.

QUESTION: You've had two consecutive devastating knockouts against fighters that don't get knocked out so easily. It took Cotto five rounds against Quintana when the referee stopped their bout. Phillips was only stopped once and that was in 1988. How do you envision this fight going, and do you believe you can knock him out?

ANSWER: This fight is not predicated on knocking him out. It is about winning the fight. It's about concentrating on coming out victorious.

QUESTION: This will be your 11th fight in California, and the 4th one in your last five bouts. Your fight against Margarito last year was a sell-out at the Home Depot Center, which was the first time it had ever gotten close to selling out. Do you believe the fans embraced you as one of their own, as they may with a new Los Angeles Dodger player?

ANSWER: Most definitely. I always receive a warm reception. I feel as if they recognize me as one of their own. When I was at the Shane Mosley fight they overwhelmed me with attention and autographs.

QUESTION: Winning at this level is tough to do in every fight. Many athletes and not just fighters, start letting outside distractions take away from their training and focus. What keeps you hungry and able to dedicate and sacrifice while training for a fight?

ANSWER: This is my job and it is based on winning. From day one I train to win, not to lose. Winning is the objective here. I want my name to come up when people are speaking of Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson, Roberto Duran and Tommy Hearns. I want my name mentioned among that group and that keeps me motivated and hungry.

QUESTION: What goes through your mind when you break camp and prepare for the countdown to your fight?

ANSWER: When you've been on the road for 5 months you get excited because you know it's close to going home time. So I just want to do the job that I came to do and get out.

QUESTION: Providing you with your fight on Saturday, give me the top three names your would like to fight next and why?

ANSWER: I'm going to leave that up to my management team. I will fight who ever they put in front of me at 147,154 or 160.

FINAL COMMENT: I'm expecting a great fight. The winner will be the best fighter that night. No predictions.

That'd be dope, though.

But if Manny REALLY wants to do it right, there are 3 things he has to do for his entrance, and they'll all represent Mexican fighters.

A.) He must wear the Julio Cesar Chavez headband:

B.) He must borrow Jorge Arce's horse for his ring entrance:

C.) He must use a song that was used many, many times by Fernando Vargas, which I know is NOT bad luck, Vargas just can't fight:

After the fight, with a win, Manny will talk about the Clitoris gloves that helped him win the fight, there will be a special surprise guest in Vegas, to celebrate Manny's victory:

Prove yourself you little bitch
(letter from Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson to David Haye)

Dear David,

Before you start calling out the Klitschko's, why don't you prove yourself you little bitch. We know at this point you won't fight me, you made that clear when you punked out of our last fight and decided to fight Monte instead. I'm asking you for a favor, since you weren't man enough to fight me, then at least be man enough and tell the world the truth about what happened with our fight and that you pulled out because you are a scared bitch. Dude you beat Monte Barrett, dude is washed up and can't punch, and still almost knocked you out. You think he is someone because he beat that joke Tye Fields in his last fight? You beat one heavyweight and looked like shit doing it and now want to call out the Klitschko's? I mean if I were you, a blown up cruiserweight, with no chin, I'd probably do the same thing, so technically I can't blame you. You tasted Barrett's weak ass power, realized that if you face a real heavyweight, like me, you will get knocked out cold, so call out the Klitschko's and make people believe you can beat them. You know you are going to get knocked out by them anyways so in your mind at least make a little bit of money before the truth comes out about you that you are a joke. Smart! But listen, I am a forgiving person, I will give you a chance to prove yourself by fighting me. You have any balls you will accept my challenge. If not, no worries everyone over here in the U.S. already thinks you are a bitch. I am going to be heavyweight champion of the world either way.

Before you go out calling people on my hit list check with me first.
Have a good holiday.

All the best,

The Greatest Heavyweight in the World

Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson

Johnson doesn't knock people out because he's too scared to get hit himself. He has a real nice jab for a heavyweight and sticks it in people's faces for the entire fight. He'd probably have more KO's if he didn't fight like he's terrified to get hit in the face.
