Because the other article is saying show time's offer, the one I put up is saying it's up to Floyd not showtime. There are also other articles that say arum is mentioning HBO being part of the deal, while the other article is saying strictly showtime and top rank

I don't care what any of you clowns says, offering Pacquiao a flat rate for that fight is beyond stupid and an underhanded way to say Mayweather's camp doesn't want the fight. He's been doing that since his 4 million flat rate offer against Margarito.
They're guaranteeing 40 million and it's not a flat rate when he's getting offered 35% of PPV.

And that's why I've been saying for awhile now is that because of Mayweather and Haymon's business moves, HBO is on a mission to destroy Showtime and their decision on giving Floyd that contract. Even Showtime hit up Floyd about making the fight with Manny cuz they are desperate. And what was Floyd's response? What is his surprise for May?

At the end of the Miadana fight Floyd was quoted as saying "if the Pacquiao fight presented itself" which means he is open to fighting Pacquiao.

Showtime who Floyd is signed too, threw out the first offer, $40 million, plus a share of the PPV revenue (35%) is not bad, especially if Pacquiao does his part in selling the fight.

HBO would probably have to step aside or accept some step aside money. They could make it happen, but Arum who Pacquiao hides behind is already turning down offers. Floyd doesn't have an opponent for his next fight and Showtime is obviously working on that by offering Pacquiao a guaranteed $40 million plus some a share of the PPV.

floyd mayweather jr devon alexander amir khan photoBy BK: Floyd Mayweather Jr is reportedly waiting on the result of the upcoming Amir Khan vs Devon Alexander fight in December before thinking about making his next announcement on his next opponent in May 2015.

Mayweather hasn’t been vocal about what direction he is going towards for his next fight but there is some big fights out there for Floyd if he wants a big paycheck, here is a list of them.

Manny Pacquiao

This fight has been anticipated for the better part of 5 years now, the fight was being negotiated for 2009 before Pacquiao and Mayweather both couldn’t agree on stipulations for the fight including drug testing, which fighter would be the A side and PPV revenue. Pacquaio refused to do Olympic style drug testing that Mayweather requested and the fight came to a halt, since then Pacquaio has been vocal about wanting the fight and even willing to fight Mayweather for free and let all the pay-per-view revenue go to charity and just let them fight to see who the best welterweight is today. The fight arguably back in 2009 would of been one of the biggest fights of all time, it could still be today but it wouldn’t have the same fire about it due to Pacquiao losing back to back to Tim Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012, Pacquiao has looked poor since then. Mayweather also looks to be slowing down in his recent performances against Marcos Maidana in May and September, many fans still want to see the fight but for me now, if it didn’t happen I wouldn’t be to bothered.

Miguel Cotto 2

Mayweather potentially could have a rematch with the WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. Cotto is coming off a impressive TKO win over Sergio Martinez in June to win the WBC and Lineal middleweight titles, Cotto knocked Martinez down three times in the 1st round before Martinez trainer stopped the fight in the 10th realizing Martinez wasn’t going to win the fight and Cotto was still looking very fresh. Mayweather beat Cotto over 12 rounds in 2012 but had trouble winning the fight at stages, Cotto gave Mayweather one of the toughest fights of his career but Mayweather boxed beautifully to win a 12 round UD. Cotto would have to step down to 154 or 147 to fight Mayweather again as Mayweather struggles to make 154 let alone try and fight Cotto at middleweight, we saw with the Mayweather vs Canelo fight in 2013, Mayweather had a 152 catch weight limit put in place with Canelo as he felt he wouldn’t be able to make the 154 light middleweight limit.

Canelo Alvarez 2

Mayweather beat Alvarez in September 2013 and since then Saul “Canel” Alvarez has looked fairly poor. He dominated Alfredo Angulo in March 2014 by a TKO victory after delivering a devastating uppercut that made referee Tony Weeks end the fight. Canelo then faced Cuban Erislandy Lara in July and struggled to a 12 round split decision in a fight that Lara connected the most punches compared to Alvarez but Alvarez really getting the decision on being the more active and aggressive fighter, Lara felt he won and wanted a rematch to which De La Hoya said no, no one wants a rematch and Lara now will face Ishe Smith in December for his WBA regular world title. Canelo struggles to make 154 now, he had had his last two fights at a 155 catch weight due to not being able to drop enough weight to get to the 154 weight limit at light middleweight which makes a rematch with Mayweather unrealistic unless Alvarez really wanted to drain down which would be a mistake, Alvarez got out classed by Mayweather last time and a drained Canelo would likely get exposed badly again, and Canelo has been vocal about not wanting to face Mayweather again anyway.

download (1)A much anticipated fight between WBO 154 lb. champion Demetrius Andrade (21-0, 14 KOs) and contender Jermell Charlo (24-0, 11KOs) seems to be off. According to Rick Reeno of BoxingScene.com, the chief supporting bout for Khan-Alexander is no longer because of financial issues and because Andrade’s wife is expected a new born around that time.

Andrade he been rumored in many fights including BJ Saunders and Matt Korobov. Since winning the WBO title he has defended it once against Brian Rose in July of this year. There are rumors of the fight being pushed back to next year. However, it is unsure of his return date because in the BoxingScene report, HBO has a first and last option on Andrade’s next fight which means it’s likely that Andrade may not fight on Showtime

HBO wouldn't step aside lol they are the bigger network and obviously rival of Showtime. You're talking like HBO is a fighter and they can just throw them some money to "step aside".

Neither network is going to allow their guy to fight on the opposite network so again, the only possible solution is to do a joint HBO/SHO PPV, which sounds crazy but they did it for Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis so it's possible. The other solution is to wait until someone's contract expires, whether that be Floyd or Pacquiao.

Pacquiao don't want it.... One day he's talking about "I'll fight Floyd for free, donate to charity, whatever he wants" then when Floyd calls him and offers $40 million with no PPV, he (Pacquiao) says he didn't offer any PPV. After saying in his own words that he'll fight for free. Now Showtime is offering $40 million and a share of the PPV and he still turns it down. Pacquiao lets Arum do all his dirty work.

How's he going to fight on Showtime while he's under contract with HBO?

Fuck what you all are talking about. This is terrible. Probably the fight I was looking forward to more than any other fight left this year. Extremely disappointed in what's happening with Andrade and his camp.
