Has anyone else seen this movie?
It's a great documentary that not only covers the Columbine High School massacre but it also covers violence in general.

Michael Moore is brilliant.
Gotta luv the man for not being afraid to speak out.

Everyone readin this thread needs to go buy/rent this movie.
You will not be disapointed....

i bought it the day it came out cause when it was in select theaters it got alot of good feedback so i had to see whut it's about.

basicly it covers the american attitude of guns and why we kill eachother like no other nation.

theres a lil bit of footage of people getting their head blown off mostly in historical footage of war.

the cartoon of the history of america is sum funny shit!

i watched the dvd twice in one day

I loved the cartoon...
It goes with my "the paranoyed white man" theory.

After watching his show "the awful truth", I thought that Moore was making a big deal about guns.
I mean, guns are bad, but you need them at times.
But he changed my mind after watching this movie.
He brings up a great point, America isn't number one in gun deaths because we're more violent than any other country, we have too many Blacks and Latinos, we have violent music, video games, and movies, and no family values.
We have the highest gun death tole because we have almost no gun control! Canadian residents love their guns as much as we do, yet there are very few gun related homicides up there.
So what is it? I for one can tell you that I can easily get a hold any weapon I desire. Guns, machine guns, bulletproof vestx, and grenades.... I lost count of how many times I went to Big 5 Sporting goods and K-Mart to restock on bullets....

It's too easy to get this shit...

Are you sure you watched it correctly? Because he pointed out that other coutnries have just as much shit like violent games, violent music, and a shitload of guns, and they don't have murders while we do. Why? he came to the conclusion that its because our media pumps us up with fear..... This film wasn't ANTI-GUN at all.....

cool flick....i think that it shows how the u.s. will never be peace because of all the faultiness it took for the u.s. to become the super power it is today. i mean seriously you reap what you sow, do onto others as you would like them to do onto you and live by the gun die by the gun are all universal law therefore eventually nature will take its course.

my favorite part was towards the end were dude interviewed charleton heston and heston walked out on him all hunched over looking like the 2003 uncle sam. that shit was funny.

lol my dad laughed at that part.

but you gave me an idea?

maybe all those militia men and nra members do believe the blood on the hands of america's founding will eventually be the downfall to the nation.

so that parinoid thinking if sparked by political issues that may arise will eventually blow the powder keg and blood WILL SPILL IN THE STREETS.

if it happens do you want to be caught without arms?

which side will you be on?

maybe we will all revolt and protect our own people in the event anything happens?

so it can be everybody against everybody!

Amen to what Snubnose said. Good observation...

Movie reviews described Moore's work as being a documentary about gun ownership in America. That's the impression you would get at a cursory glance. The movie's deeper message was about fear of crime in America.

Ok Mclean,
you don't mind explaining yourself?

Why is it that the right wing always takes offense at who ever speaks against the President even when they are right?
it dont always take offense when some1 critizices the president. i mean when drudge reported and linked to other reporters critizizing the president for his huge spending budget i was the first one to post it here.

but when it comes to some1 like Moore a self described SOCIALIST (aka- lightweight communist) who has made an ass out of himself talking so much shit, i got no respect for him.

1 honest question here for you. what is a documentory???

Your answer:
"Watch the movie...."

How has Moore made an ass out of himself?
I think he's very intelligent.
K-Mart actually pulled it's bullets off their shelves because of what this man has done.
What kind of contributions have you made for society besides voting a cowboy for president?

lets see, while i wont claim to be the man who donates all his time to society. i will say i have helped some here is what i have done.

i signed up for after school programs while taking college classes.

i go to my mothers school and help her and other teachers out helping with reading and other subject out of my own free will because they have never paid me a dime.

i sign up to be a coach/manager for Jr. High and Little League, every season, i buy alote of the kids alote of Equiptment out of my own pocket. i sponsor them and pay their entry fees to compete in all-star tournaments out of my own pocket. and i do this just to keep the kids playing sports and off the streets. this is probly the first time i have mentioned how i help these kids to some1 out of my immediate family.

you can't give Micheal Moore all the credit. the documentary was base on a book by Prof. Barry Glassner phD. ( sociologist )

mclean never answered on why it wasn't a documentary. just because the movie doesn't show the same fucked up views that he holds dearly doesn't mean it's not a documentary.

Good, keep up the good work.

About Moore at the academy awards, I believe that 100% of the stuff he said are true.

But the only thing I have to tell those who say Bush stole the elections is that the elections shouldn't have been that close to begin with.

True but that's only a part of what Moore discussed.
Remember the welfare-to-work program?
He discussed the causes from every angle.

Charleton Hesten (President of the NRA) actually said that shit in the movie when Moore asked why he thought we had the most gun deaths in the world.

Can you believe that shit?
Of coarse, it's the old paranoid white man thing again....

As far as black dude's in the planes, he's probably right.
Haven't you seen passenger 57? hahahaha

Juan Villareal said that shit would never happen in a plane with a few Mexicans. Cuz Mexicans are nervous when they fly in the first place. "Care for some peanuts?".... "No!!!!! No I don't want some peanuts!!!!"......."Water?"......."No I don't want any fucking water!".....
*Mexican sees a high jacker with a box cutter*
*He takes it away*
"Hey what the fuck you doin? Give me that box cutter and stop fucking around!"........
You see box cutters ain't shit compared to gettin stabbed with a switch blade hahahahaha....
