Some of these non trendy lyrcists need to step their game up with some charisma. Until then, get use to "boring rappers" because they have it.

Guru calls himself the "king of monotone", it`s like his trademark. But on the other hand, Gangstarr got an endless amount of classics.

I would like to add these to the list:
Memphis Bleek ( I can`t believe that Jay-Z had such faith in him)
Fabolous
Pras (from Fugees)
Jermaine Dupri (can he even be categorized as a rapper?)

i havent even put on the radio or watched music videos in hella long, i cant stand 99% of whats played...i remember the days when you go to the record store and you had a hard time picking out a cd cuz they were all so damn tight, now its the exact oppisite, you have to shuffle through all the weak shit to find one good one...but it could be an age thing, cuz i know in my time (early to late 90s) alot of the older cats were saying that rap was in a bad state then, they thought that the shit WE love was what was gonna kill rap, just like how i feel the new shit is gonna kill it...i dont go to clubs, but if i did then i still wouldnt take the new shit as anything but a sellout gimmick to make money, to me its all the same catchy pop music...but for that matter i feel the all genres of music pretty much suck now, the early to lat 90s was good with all music coming out...just my opinion

Shits gettin old.
