the 48 laws of power are kinda, ummmmmmmmmm

i mean, they are not stable, they conflict with each other and they dont work,
plus they are for cowards evolving coward acts

if you want to read about the author, that robert greene copied it from

read about "nicolo machiavelli" and "Sun Tzu"
these are precious, so try finding the closest version to the originals

go read it, and thank me later

I love reading, but I'm more into fantasy and horror books.

My favorites are:

The Hobbit
American Psycho
Pet Sematary
Salem's Lot
Everythings Eventual
The Dark Elf Trilogy

I'm also a big fan of the old HG Wells The Invisible Man

Yeah Manchild in the Promised Land was dope. I really liked Always Running when i was in high school. I enjoyed Whoreson by Donald Goines and I read that like 2 years ago. I need to get back into reading. I guess I got burned out on reading when i was in college because i read like 2 million books in college.

very very good book, teaches you how to mind fuck people pretty easily. i also like the art of war. those are prolly the only non fiction, non story type books ive enjoyed
Yea I'm almost done with it, and I am definitely going to re-read it almost immediately after I finish it. I have his other book, 33 strategies of war, on the way, and since he refrences Art of War so many times in 48 Laws, I think I'm going to pick that up too.

Yea, I was very wary of the book going in, and although the book does have some intresting ideals, they do conflict, and the biggest thing of all is that most of the laws are based on con artists of yesteryear, and today you would not get as far using those tactics. If anything it's a good read, and I am taking it with a proverbial grain of salt; however, by no means are the laws to be discarded or overlooked. If applied properly they can work, but it seems to me the biggest factor in the figures in the books success is that they scout, plan ahead, and execute slowly and surely. Brash decisions almost never end well, and if they do, eventually you will come up short in a devastating way.

Are the books about Machiavelli and Tzu titled that, or are they printed under different names?
