It wasn't that ortiz quit to me, it was that "I don't deserve to be getting beat up like this" remark. I thought it was such a bitch thing to say because it's like, boxing is cool as long as it's not a tough fight. He was knocking fools out and basically to me, he's saying it's cool if he hurts people but he doesn't wanna get hurt.

I'm fine with quitting the fight. You win some, you lose some. That last right hand he ate against the ropes that snapped his head all the way back was basically the end of the fight to me.

I thought Lopez's corner should've seriously considered stopping the fight against Salido and never did. He might be ruined now. They're lucky it stopped when it did because he was taking thudding shots for 3 rounds after the big knock down. He could've been Meldrick Taylor-like if he kept that up. Better to live and fight another day.

and I don't discount Ortiz moving up to get away from Rios either. Rios is calling him out just like Vargas was calling out Oscar. Rios is going to have to earn every bit of that shot at Ortiz while Ortiz gets bigger paydays. Hopefully they do meet though. There's a lot of bad blood even though Ortiz won't mention his name

there's 3 fights ortiz needs to get the respect back and make his stock go up for the ultimate payday with pac-man or mayweather and they should be in this order:

1. marcos maidana - ortiz can say what he wants about maidana not be worthy of a rematch and there being no point in that fight but we all know he needs that rematch probably more than anything else. it would be a war and another classic for the fans to enjoy.

2. brandon rios - this would be a great ppv match especially if rios stays undefeated you got 2 champions going at it with so much bad blood it would be the 2011 version of vargas vs de la hoya.

3. amir khan - this would be the fight for victor to show the world his true boxing skills and i actually think it would be a rather easy one for ortiz i see him stopping khan under 10 rounds.
