I have alot of friends in Japan and have been going there since 2001. I staid in Yokohama for about a month. I was on that site a few years back. I think the same screen name, f31roger.

Do they come off the lot looking like that, body kits are standard? Or are those cutomized?
Its all upgrades. You can buy cars modified from tuning shops that sell cars for that matter, but usually they are used cars.

shops like "Bippu Garage" are around.

I can not tell you how the lifestyle of cars is there... its on another level. Its way above the US level. in late 90's it was hondas and drag racing, now its more like Nissans/Toyotas/Mazda and drifting.

Over there, every car has mods and alot of people do build their cars for various reasons. You can pick up a van and build it to look nice with a body kit and some coilovers...

Raine, the new one with the "gattling gun" LEDs headlights? I think the closest thing to the Nissan President is the Infiniti Q45.

if you try find pix, it seems better to put the chassis name of the car. Like Y33 Nissa Cima or F50 Nissan President. Japanese car lifestyle is different, they always use the body codes of the cars to identify them.
from this angle it looks like a 1996 Q45. those cars are under-rated as far as looks.
