Blacks vs Samoans in Sunnydale

this is a topic that takes aim at OUR FILIPINO CULTURAL IDENTITY..
our homeland country has been through some shit... before the spanish, the native filipinos = IGOROTS who were of MALAY blood were long lasting rulers of the ISLANDS.. then the spanish came in the 1500's and integrated themselves into the IGOROT people and thus was born the FILIPINO people, an ethnicity made of two main ingredients, MALAY and SPANISH... ofcourse there were some chinese settlers who came and married natives, spanish, and FILIPINOS so we could actualy say that the chinese have had a part in this cultural melting pot that developed the filipino that we know of today...
after the liberation from SPAIN, the AMERICANS took over, in 1941 it was the JAPANESE that took over as a military role... the JAPANESE influences were never adopted and the country was liberated in 1945... the strongest influence that stayed with the people of the P.I. is the AMERICAN capatalist way of life, that's aslo the reason why the P.I. was the most WESTERNIZED country in asia and the pacific islands...
so our homeland has a dynamic history to it... we have a bunch of indentity problems because we've been through so many occupations of our homeland that many of the influencing ideas that the infiltraitors brought stayed and made up this GUMBO type of culture....
so dont call other filipinos dumb because they call themselves "ISLANDERS" or "ASIANS" or "SPANISH" coz when you come down to it all its just a label, and in some terms we are a little bit of what them labels mean... BUT AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THINGS WE'RE FORGETTING ONE IMPORTANT THING... WE ARE FILIPINO BEFORE ANYTHING!!!!!!
this is just me but i never call myself "spanish", "asian" or "islander" coz like i said before i'm FILIPINO.....
if you noticed in most applications or race checklists that the government dishes out, FILIPINOS have their own check box...
WE ARE FILIPINO, I AM FILIPINO, we need to come together and be about our shit......
and on another tip,
We are nowhere similar to JAPANESE..... the closest we are to asians are INDONESIANS and the closest we are to PACIFIC ISLANDERS are GUAMANIANS...
AND fozzit you cant compare P.I. to other island countries like JAPAN and GREENLAND coz theyre not TROPICAL ISLANDS!!! lol
ive stayed in ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR in a city/province called PAGADIAN and there is a lot of island life going there as well as western life....
talking like we dont know nothing bout real island life... that is one of the most ignorant statements you could make homie... we ARE TROPICAL ISLAND ppl... we have a different culture from your typical asian and your typical "islander".... im taking it that you think an "ISLANDER" is a guy who fishes, who is dark and tall, who has curly/kinky hair, wears a sarong, and a head dress made up of leaves with a kukui necklace huh... lol, stop acting like there is a TRUE definition to these labels.... labels aint shit but something conjured up by WHITE AMERICANS back in it's manifest destiny days of the 1800's.....

speaking of Guam.... my Dad Is Spanish Chamorro...as in hes one of the spanish families from GUAM.... my mom is Black and Visayaan...i lived int he filipines amd guam.....so basically ur informing me of things i done already knew......
i have never even heard filipinos conisder themsleves pacific islanders till i moved out here to Cali...go back to the PI ans ask them if they are pacific islanders...

not everyone has spanish in their bloodline...i do not think many of the spanish wanted to do anything with the natives...i just find it funny how some putas out there claiming they're hispanic and shit when they probably don't have no spanish in the bloodline and if they do it thinned out way long time ago before their great triple grandparents....if anything i'm an asshole before filipino, south-east asian and canadian(fuck that shit)
