I was leaving for work yesterday and I seen this Widow crawling on one of the garage wallz so I sprayed it with spider killer and put it on a piece of paper so I could check it out when I got home from work. Come to find out it'z a female with the red hour glass shape on the stomach. I've never seen one in real life until now. Have any of ya'll seen these fuckerz in or around your house?

First time ever? Damn. You see them all the time here in Ca. Not that they're common, but I've seen quite a few. What are rare though, at least in Sac, are those big-ass wolf spiders that look like baby tarantulas. Those scare me worse than any black widow.

me and my pops was moving shit around in the yard and we took this tarp off this chest.and we were taking it back to the side of the house and i felt something crawling on my foot.i looked and i seen a black spider with a round back and pointy butt crawling off my foot!my brother warned me we had some black widows around that chest so i kicked that mutherfucker real hard off of my foot.i knew what it was cause i'm used to seeing spiders so i know it was a black widow.i just quit messing with that stuff back there.

and about wolf spiders and black widows. we kept a black widow in a jar and we would feed her and it got real big.we found a wolf spider on the cealing and threw him in the jar with the widow.sure enough the widow got it's ass whooped and the wolf spider ate her.

i know those are some bad bitches.

yeah my boy had a black widow and brown recluse in the same jar...they never fought though...

BR bites are fuckin horrible, it eats the flesh away and takes hella antivenom to end it, the skin basically dies and never comes back...you gotta get skin grafts....nasty shit

When I was a freshman in high school I woke up one morning with a hole about the size of a dime on my knee. Come to find out that it was a brown recluse bite, shit swelled up and pussed like no other. It was deep too, I had to take medication so that the red line that was crawling up my leg didn't make it to my heart ... shit was no joke!

See? That's what I thought. There was a tv special on the other month and an entire segment was dedicated to br's. They had survivors of br bites recounting their expierences like they were tornado or flood victims. It was two women and those ladies were crying and shit just telling the story. Both of them were badly scarred from the bites. Yeah, I think br's are way worse than bw's.

I still hate those giant wolf spiders the most though. They ain't scurd of shit.

Jumping Tarantulas

We get a lot of spiders, scorpions, and centipedes down here in Tucson. The scarriest are the tarantulas that jump. They look like regular tarantulas, but when you get close they jump like four fuckin feet in the air. One popped me in the fourhead once. Scary as fuck, believe me. I used to just let them be, but now, i spray them with lighter fluid and toss a match on 'em. They scream and run around while they burn too.

I have seen a shitload of Black Widow's in my lifetime. When I lived in Manteca there were two of them that nested right outside, in my backyard against the side of the house. I just let them be, never touched or tried to kill them. Im not sure, as I have never done a study, but I don't think they seek out humans to bite. I would guess that, like an ant, if you are in their path and they crawl on you, they will bite you. As long as they stay outside, it doesn't bother me one bit.

While were on the subject of venemous creatures, did anyone watch Ripley's where that Cobra bit a hole in dude's stomach?

Same here. I would catch all types of spiders but none ever fought, those fucks starved to death before earning their freedom and a meal at the expence of the other spider!

Well, you can't be a little bitch about it. I've never been bit by shit. I personally don't know anybody that has either. I've seen people sick from shit, but I didn't know them, and could care less. When I was younger, used to catch like 20 of one or the other and throw them in a fishtank and just see who's left a few days later. They're not everywhere, just in the more desert parts of the city.
