Like always...black people don't wanna take responsibility for what they do. It's always someone else's fault for the things they do. If nothing you do is ever your fault, then it seems that you NEED TO BE CONTROLLED. Now you wanna blame hip-hop for what's going on in black America. Then when someone says that you can't blame hip-hop, but yet, think for yourselves, you talk down on that person. Get the fuck out of here. The same crap that hip-hop talks about, is the same crap that blacks glorify. Killing each other, doing drugs, being incarcerated, wasting money on useless crap, etc. But all of a sudden, it's a bad thing after they realize how destructive it is. But any other time, they call rappers who discuss positive subjects a sell-out or some other BS. There's no pleasing the black community, so you might as well just continue pimping them for all the profits you can.

^its just kinda hilarious to me how somebody can hate the neglect they faced so badly that once they make a little money, they sell out their whole philosophy on life.
i just always thought when u get neglected this badly because of a fucked up system, you grow up to hate the system rather than grow up to despise your own.

im sure there is more to why dude cannot stand his own kind. Still tho, he on that self hate shit pretty badly.

What are you even talking about? You admit knowing that these entertainers are performing for profit yet you blame them for negatively influencing kids? It is not the entertainers' responsibility to educate kids. The problem is that kids in urban communites are so easily influenced. This is the parents' fault for not teaching their kids that rap artists are not role models.

Gangsta rap is not about "fantasizing" a lifestyle. And it's not like at all like the hate music of nazi bands. Gangsta rap isn't telling you to hate or kill anyone, or even commit crimes at all. Rap is about artfully portraying actual events that happen within the urban community. The art is lost on people like Dr. Boyce.
Nah, if you re-read that part you would have seen that I said, if they don't have guidance at the pad, their mind can be easily manipulated. Song is a very strong tool.

An the fantasicing part is there. If they did what they rap about or not is irrelevant. It's when they talk about shit they do NOW, but sittin comfortably somewhere livin clean. I'm sorry mah dude, but I don't believe when 50 was rappin, he was currently doing that shit or feds woulda been had his ass. That shits a confession when e-40 is talkin about sellin bud or any other head talkin about killin. Never said all rappers are like this, or am I saying rappers, themselves, put music out to be that way.

There are people out there (corporations, name-brands, even ogs putting heads on for the hood unintentionally) who would use the fact the young are very impressionable. Music being a strong way of influencing without it being a boring ass lecture, a corporation would add some music in the background of their products...make it more appealing. Heads getting put on their hood might be getting game from their OG, but they go home an bump some shit in their ride, maybe when they get to the pad. They get game from the homies, and music spits game sometimes. And game doesnt always gotta be a good thing, game can mean learning how to rob a mutha fucka. The more you learn, the more you realize...The more bullshit spread around, the less you know.

Whenever a black person calls you an Uncle Tom or accuse you of "self-hate" for enlightening them, that's how you know that you're telling the truth. You can call me those things all you want (it's actually a compliment)....but am I lying though? Calling me those names only means that you know I'm right, but because of the censorship in the black community when it comes to pointing out the BS, I'm not supposed to say those things, no matter how true they are. Hahahaha

It's amazing how you all listen to people who spread destructive messages to black America, but you hate a person who tells you the truth. Which is why you all (African-Americans) will always be inferior. Even Africans come to America and say the same thing that I'm saying...

I dont think that makes us inferior. Now youre border-lining a racist aspect...what about all the young white kids, asians, mexicans, and so on that buy into this mainstream shit? Niggas made this shit, but honkies took it and flipped it on the general population. Dont just blame black people for "not waking up" when your lil ginger cousin is buying lil wayne shit.
