Alchemist is from L.A.
he came up under DJ Muggs and the Soul Assasins and does a lot of work with Mobb Deep and Infamous Mobb and of course the Soul Assasins...that fool is heavily underrated and is one of the best producers in the game...1

Kanye is annoying as hell to me. I'll admit that he has some talent but he's so fucking cocky. I saw him on 106th and Park compaining about how he didn't get 5 mics in the source. ANd i don't know who it was, but whoever told him he could sing...i'm just hatin i guess. i change the station when he comes on the radio
he might be annoying too your perception of him, but kanye is the most humble down too earth cat in the game.... well at-least he was when i met him.

Pete Rock (basically, everything. When you've got it, you've got it).
Marley Marl (especially his COLD CHILLIN' shit back in the late '80s/early '90s)
The RZA (a little patchy at times, but he generally holds my interest)
D.J. Premier (his drum sounds alone are enough to floor me everytime...)
Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith (the first four EPMD CDs)

Yeah, I know, I got mostly old-school choices. Sue me...

PEACE!
