Damn dude, that sucks. Let me tell you something....You dont have to erase everything on the hard drive to install a cd rom. I've worked on laptops before and I dont see how it makes it easier to install if you delete every thing. The only thing I can think of is if they fucked up your operating system some how and then they just told you it makes it easier when you format the hard drive. But you should talk to somebody about this.

And the hitz just keep on commin

I just called our family PC doctor. they told me that all they had to do was unscrew 4 screws, and replace the, and should not of had to touched the windows operating system.

And yes Lady, oh yes, something is going to be done, alot of somethings are going to be done.

My to do list as of today
1. have best buy fix my DVD player,
2. While im there get the name of the person who is in charge of that best buy.
3.write him/her a letter, having them have to sign for it.
4.Call a number for complaints.

Thatz my plan so far, and that letter isent going to be the nicest. Professionaly written, but not nice.

No! Be & stay professional use alot of big words and make sure all of your spelling is correct......Speak to them as if you are a CEO of a big company, make 'em think you are a big wig! If you can get proof of what homeboy was saying about them not having to erase the files in order to fix it, then get that proof. Act as if you are slightly devistated that your files have been erased and make sure they know the reason for not being able to have back up cd's. Be very clear with them, but don't over do it.......just don't let these cats fuck you over I dont care if it's over 5 bucks!

Look this is what the lawyer is going to tell you to do. You must have everything in writting and THEN be denied before you can even persue a suit. AND if you wanted to go that far you could only take this to small claims court since the net money value is under 5,000.00!

shit that is how they sold me on the waranty. "oh we do not have to ship the computer off to the manufacture we do all our repairs on site or in the genral area". Personally I have not had a problem with best buy. My dumbass went in there thinking my computer was broken but my battery just wasnt hooked up correct. The guy hooked me up with a free battery. Thats a 250 dollar value. Then my printer broke. I went in there. They didn't really question me about it and gave me a brand new printer. Not a bad deal for me atleast.
