Hmmmm... Chante Moore was born in San Francisco, but moved to SD when she was 12-years-old. At 16 she played Dorothy in a High School (I think Morse) production of The Wiz.

"In San Diego, Moore performed in singing and dancing shows, while trying to meet people in the music industry." Her big break came in 1989, when singer El DeBarge saw her perform in the musical Heat Wave in Los Angeles."

Once again, you must move from SD to LA to catch a break in the biz. Dont know how much game she soaked up from SD but she had alot of hits... "Love's Taken Over", "Chante's Got a Man", and duets with the likes of Babyface & Keith Washington.

I remember a lot of buz in the city about her when the hits were rollin.

4sho! You know the funny thing is I didn't even know that she is a Cali girl until a few years ago.

She gets around! Her first Child was with actor Kadeem Hardisin, and she now married to singer Kenny Lattimore.

I knew about that.
