LOL!!! I had Pat Barry (who trains with Askren) messaging me straight defending Askren on twitter when I was bashing his faggot ass.

When I was like "i'd take a Pat Barry fight #entertainment, any day over being put to sleep by Askren" he quit defending then was like "I hear you bra" lol

hahaha I saw Pat talking shit about people complaining.
Didn't get to see the fights because the wifi at work was fucked but I read the Askren fight was boring even for him. I usually like his fights because he does crazy ass grappling stuff.
Ueda's obviously too depressed from Darren Uyenoyama ducking him to want to fight. Sounded like a cool fight though

I'm starting to get out of control excited about Aoki-Alvarez II. Aoki opened at +190, thinking about betting my account on him and going out in a hilarious blaze of glory if he gets KO'd and starts to cry, or doubling up if he breaks Eddie's arm and then starts to cry. Because there's one thing you can always be sure of when Aoki's fighting

Bellator 69 weigh-in results: Maiquel Falcao good on second try (Updated)

Bellator 69's official fighter weigh-ins are in the books, and all but one of four co-headlining tournament fighters successfully made weight on the first attempt.

Middleweight tournament finalist Maiquel Falcao weighed 188 pounds on his first attempt but was able to drop down to 186 pounds on a second try.

Today's weigh-ins took place at L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, La.

The same venue hosts Friday's event, which includes Falcao vs. Andreas Spang (middleweight-tourney final) and Karl Amoussou vs. David Rickels (welterweight-tourney semifinal).

Tomorrow's main-card action airs on MTV2 following prelims on Spike.com.

The relatively calm proceedings did enjoy one tense moment, as Amoussou called opponent Rickels "ugly" and promised to "destroy him." Rickels responded by handing Amoussou a toothbrush when the pair went nose-to-nose.

Meanwhile, Falcao, who has been involved in a few weigh-in dust-ups, thought better of it this time around and simply turned his back on Spang when the two faced off.

In addition to Falcao, preliminary fighters Josh Quayhagen and Emanuel "E.J." Brooks are also currently cutting additional weight.

The full Bellator 69 weigh-in results included:

MAIN CARD (MTV2)
Maiquel Falcao (186) vs. Andreas Spang (185.8)+ - middleweight-tourney finale
Karl Amoussou (170) vs. David Rickels (170.6) - welterweight-tourney semifinal
Jessica Aguilar (115.6) vs. Megumi Fujii (116)
Kevin Asplund (239) vs. Ron Sparks (264.6)
PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike.com)
Josh Quayhagen (158.2) vs. Cliff Wright (155.6)^
Emanuel "E.J." Brooks (156) vs. Kalvin Hackney (156)
Booker Arthur (145.4) vs. Shanon Slack (146)
Andrey Koreshkov (170.8) vs. Derrick Krantz (170.8)
Josh Burns (206) vs. Richard Hale (205.5)
Mark Holata (250.6) vs. Abe Wagner (248.8)
^ - Quayhagen was fined 20 percent of purse for missing weight, bout will be contested as a catchweight

I dunno if it's worth taking a sick day to see Coleslaw Konrad haha. Hawn-Weedman & Nogueira-Iron Nakamura could be good though
Fights coming down here are a rare thing unless you're talking about scrub fights. Gotta take what I can get, plus fuck work and I'll feel like I'm getting paid to go watch some fights.
