Daddy Rich: i feel you homie...thing is though there really aint any dope new bay rappers, that aint the stations fault....And they do bump frontline alot which is a new bay group , also they got a contest going right now for any new artists from the bay to get free studio time and have ea-ski and e-40 produce it, so all someone has to do is step to the plate. Balance also gets some play here and there.

I dunno bout 94.9 i dont listen too much but kmel is doing more than their part, its the artists that arent steppin up and makin dope radio music.

I mean KMEL keeps givin out all these free handouts to new bay artists, like free style battles, trips to mtv to preform, free studio time and beats. What more can you ask for.

Also how many artists do you want up on the radio, with the exception of maybe new york most areas only have one or two rappers reppin their area. We got 4 or 5 thats better than most places.

oh yeah mr. kee's group FE was gettin play too when the single lime light came out..........also baby bash is gettin play, so thats what like 7 bay artists in the rotation, what more do you want.

You got the followin artists gettin play on kmel:
Yukmouth
Frontline
Ea-Ski
E-40
B-Legit
Keak Da Sneak
Mr Kee
Balance

i mean damn i dont know of any other area who has that many artists on the radio reppin them, cept maybe for new york but thats just cause new york is where all the labels are so its easier to find talent out there.

yeah bro i remember when the bay was getting all kinds of play on the radio out here. But i also remember when we were getting NO PLAY right after that, so im just glad i can still turn on the radio and stiill hear some kind of music i like, cause a couple yrs ago i wasnt hearing any bay music at all. Its defintally worse then it was in the mid 90's but its better than it was in say 2000-2002.

I dont think the bay will ever be like it was on the radio back in the 90's though cause i could be wrong but i dont think clear channel owned kmel back then....i could be wrong though. But if thats true thats the kinda bullshit that happens when new owners take over.

YOU ALL HAVE HAD VALID POINTS BUT WE NEED 2 KEEP PUTTING PRESSURE ON THESE STATIONS AND ALOT OF BAY ARTISTS HAVE 2 START MAKING RADIO FRIENDLY SONGS.

i don't support terrorism...

but if Al Qaeda planned an attack on the Clear Channel Headquarters by flying a plane through their building, i'll be the first one out on the street in front of that building holding up a huge banner welcoming them.

And then run my ass off crying tears of joy when that building comes crumbling down
